Roleplaying a San'layn/Darkfallen

I know that many people think you shouldn't roleplay a Darkfallen or "Vampire" But I think it's kinda stupid because many people RP Scourge and when some of the DK's broke free from The Lich King's will very few Darkfallen did the same (I think). And please if you know any armor that can make me look like that guy from the picture i linked please tell me. |
Nope, the Darkfallen were loyal to the Lich King right up 'till the point where we killed them all. The only San'layn that are -maybe- alive to this day, are 2 NPC quest-givers - and unless you plan on RPing one of those (which does seem a tad silly to me), there really isn't any justifiable background for it. As for the armour, that'd be the cloth drops from ICC - or the mage tier 10. |

There are a few things you should remember:-
1. The Darkfallen are very few in number, and they are all shown as beings of great power. These two factors will naturally make them frowned upon in Roleplay 2. They are minions of the Scourge. How did you survive the fall of the Lich King? How did you break free from his (either Arthas or Bolvar) control? 3. The Death Knights were accepted by the Leaders of the Horde and Alliance and only with Tirions advocation. Why would people not kill you on sight, seeing as you have no such claim to clemancy? 4. Death Knights are largely frowned upon, mistrusted and despised. This will extend to you. Most likely to an even greater extent (see point 3.) 5. Ask yourself WHY do you want to make a Darkfallen? And be brutally honest with yourself. Can you really get yourself into the mindset of this cursed, tortured being? Or do you just want to roll a 'cool' character? That said, some people can pull off roles such as this exceedingly well. But these people are rare and far between. If you are one, I have no end to my respect for you and wish you all the best. But be prepared for alot of people to frown, tut, and possibly ignore you. As for armour? Anything Sin'dorei, perhaps with a Scourge touch. Alot of gear that comes from Sunwell Plateau looks good, as well as Tempest Keep and Magisters Terrace (as you would expect). While I cannot link anything, Id also suggest looking at the Icecrown raid, especially the Blood Queen Lana'thel. |

Altarius is probably right about the whole "Cool" thing, it's just that i have always been fascinated by some of the races in WoW like Faceless ones, San'layn etc...

Eh, I don't notice any Darkfallen Npcs in the Ebon Hold or any that broke free being acknowledged. If I remember right there was one or two Darkfallen in the starting zone that just showed up in Northrend later. They aren't a mass-produced sort like ghouls or geists, they were a group Kael'thas sent to Northrend that got killed off and made into Darkfallen I remember right. You also might wanna look up the last Darkfallen thread for an idea of what the general reception may be like. |

There's no lore saying any of the darkfallen survived the assault on icecrown, and as said already even if there were how did you even break free.
Darkfallen also are not vampires and should never be RP's as such, they are the same as all undead creations of the lichking they dont need to eat to live, if they do eat its for their own perverse pleasure and they are canibals not blood drinkers. Altarius already gave 5 good solid reasons why its not a good idea, read then and really consider what he's saying. |

To be honest I do not mind people Role-Play Darkfallen as long as they stick hidden in Northrend away from all Horde/Alliance/Neutral settlements. You're a Scourge creature and will not seek allies amongst the good factions.

Wanna rp as a vampire?
Talk to Darknupper! |

I could also just roleplay that my character never broke free, and i can join a Scourge RP guild (seen tons of those).

As stated by other people, it would be a challenge and very complex due to multiple factors such as whether you will be accepted into horde/alliance factions. However, you could be a simple magic practioner who learns of Blood/Vampiric magic and wishes to induldge in it. You would be orginally in either the alliance or the horde, but you will learn of this certain type of magic and possibly try to travel to Northrend and learn of the San'lyn's ways.
If you wish to RP the actual being itself, then a proper guild for it would be indeed good. |

RP a cannibal blood elf, maddened by an outside influence. \o/

Good suggestion Althaloes, I was thinking about doing something like that, since all San'layn are still slaves of The Lich King. I'm probably gonna roll a belf DK.

btw, does anyone know a good Scourge RP guild? (Horde-side) It doesn't matter what server it's on.

Hmm.. Well, I can't say I know any Horde Scourge RP guilds.
The only Scourge RP guild I know is.. well, my own humble guild^^ But unfortunately it's on the alliance side. But there might be a Horde version out there somewhere. And if not, probably a Cultist guild which you would fit in if you plan to induldge in Blood/Vampiric magic as a originally normal character, since I don't think the general IC public accepts that kind of magic :P |

Could it be possible to have a Horde that can communicate with the Alliance using Addons like Tongues? http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/tongues/569284-client Cause then i would make so many High elves.

Using addons to talk to he other faction is against the rules and could get both sides banned, dont ask me why, i just know its against the TOS.
