energy drink and coffee
Just stick to usual energy drink and actually enjoy drinking it (If you like saturated sugar water...). Staying awake for 48 hours isn't a matter of consuming massive amounts of caffeine :P Just take it slow and don't eat too much. I also find that hot tea is great at keeping me awake, might want to give that a try instead. |

Although the substance itself might not be poisonous it might have enough caffeine or a combination of caffeine + whatever the drink has to be harmful for the human body. 100 cups of coffee aren't poisonous, but it will still kill you. |

rather than poison yourself with "energy" drinks, how about eating normal food, exercising and drinking water? Aye, and I can testify to that! Heck, I even need less sleep nowadays to function optimally. |

Better just have 2 cups of coffe than mix it with energy drinks. The taste will most likely be terrible and the drinks are quite junky by themselves. But, yeah they work, once a friend dared me to drink 8 cans of that and I couldn't sleep for two days after I did it. However, on the second day I felt...uhm...dead.
When I want to stay awake and focused, I usually just take a cup of coffe and do some excercises so I don't feel sleepy, I also drink tons of water. |

Sounds like a bad idea. Why not just drink both a cup of coffee and an energy drink seperate? They got to taste horrible together

Since the main stimulant in both is caffeine, you will be giving yourself a massive dose of a chemical that's known to be addictive and has a number of unpleasant side effects. Sleep disorders being common.
Here's a quote from Wikipedia:- (LD50 is the dose required to kill the average subject) The LD50 of caffeine in humans is dependent on individual sensitivity, but is estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass or roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult.[3] Though achieving lethal dose with caffeine would be exceptionally difficult with regular coffee, there have been reported deaths from overdosing on caffeine pills, with serious symptoms of overdose requiring hospitalization occurring from as little as 2 grams of caffeine |

as one that sometimes do 2-4days nonstop gaming marathon, i have a few tips:
Cult energy shot, the small bottle that taste like piss, dont drink more than 1 bottle, since you will get heavy harthbeat and start sweading, if you drink more than 1 fast. Monster energy drink, they are good for early on in the marathon. supply with cola or something i call cacoffe, its coffee powder and cacao powder in 1:1 ratio, in the coffee machine. Also remember to eat something, the best is Microweave burger with extra cheese, or just cheese, cheese contains something called "metamorphine", wich have some sort of good effect, that ive experienced (not eating cheese/eating cheese) Supply that with something that aint greesy, NO chips. Also with a few hours interval, (4-5) do some jumps, pushups or just run around, to avoid getting cramps, and clots etc. If you can get your hand on some rose root, then do it, im not talking about you going and digging someones garden up, but instead find in stores energy drink that contains rose root, it does not taste good, but works. Dont mix something up yourself, there have been ppl developing energy drinks over a long time for a reason... label say "sport" but we read "gamer". As a finishing line, no im not some fat dude, i work 8 hours a day on a farm, so i get my fair share of exersize. |
