Warlocks preform good in 3 vs 3..
So do rogues, rogues also preform amazingly well in 2 vs 2 and 1 vs 1. A warlock in affliction spec does well in group fights, or basically when he has a healer chasing him. A lock in destruction spec has -some- survivability, but can't do crap when there is a dispelling healer present. Of course, speccing burning embers and grabbing an imp would help with this, but then again he'd lack the knockback and seduce of the succubus.. Choices. In world PVP a warlock dies to a rogue end of story. What really bothers me is that whenever someone complains about getting killed without a fighting chance the same excuses are brought up. The game is balanced around 3 vs 3. Why does that have to mean warlocks are free kills whenever they aren't in that particular situation.. Does blizzard expect them to quest in groups of three? Practice archaeology with two friends backing them up? It isn't to hard to fix either. Give warlocks back their old fel armor. 4% health every few seconds. 1 vs 1 they're dead anyways, and this will balance it out a bit. in 3 vs 3 the reason they're powerful is the increased healing from their demon armor. 30% is alot. Give back good old Paranoia, perhaps a version of that affects the warlock alone. A more powerful version. Only feral druids and rogues would be affected by this change, and I don't think it'd horribly unbalance the game if we got this. And these are just two basic suggestions anyone could come up with. The problem is, that no matter what we write on these boards, I sincerely doubt blizzard cares enough to act upon it. |

Buffing selfhealing could increase their viability in 3's. However I think these are very valid ideas.
However! As you said, the people in blizzard who have the power to change anything will not get this information, sitting and hoping for it will most likely make you depressed. Blizzard is obviously running their own race atm, and I hope they shape up. |

Warlocks need some love. If the game is balanced around 3v3 then I see no problem in buffing Destruction. This is because Affliction is the big bad warlock spec of 3's. so improving Destro has no real importance when it comes to other classes being angry. A few easy suggestions.
Immolate - When your Immolate is dispelled you gain a stacking buff, increasing all damage done by 10% for 12 seconds. Can stack up to 3 times. Once immolate has been dispelled 3 times your next Chaos Bolt is instant cast and heals you for 25% of the damage caused. or Immolate - When your immolate is dispelled your Hellfire to act as an Aura for 15 seconds, dealing out increasing fire damage (much like Baron Geddan) for the duration every 3 seconds. May be fun for melee to actually piss off for once. or On dispelling Immolate, the Lock is granted 50% of the total DoT effect as health. This may mean if theyre focusing the lock - the lock can at least do damage or be healed. If they are not focusing the lock, then well you get to actually cast your normal spells... |
