Can we have them back pls? it just doesnt feel right that they are missing as a reward from meta achievments plus it would feel much more awesome for players running through naxx nowadays. On top of that it makes no sense that they are missing while Ulduar/ICC mounts are still obtainable. Also the whole concept of removing mounts from game is not right and uncool. Cmon blizz mounts are too awesome to be removed!!! And if some players need stamp of awesomeness for beating content when it was releveant for some reason give them titles or give them stamp on their mounts: I am awesome!

Every achivement in Naxx can be 2 manned if coordinated proberly. You can't do that in Ulduar or ICC. Anyways, I wouldn't mind that they brought back the drakes for getting the achivement, but I think that the people who got the drake back when it mattered would be furious. And I can understand that. Also, OS+3drakes can easily be 2 manned as well. And IMO they should remove the mount from that dungeon too :) |

Let some things stay rare, I happend to lose the Black protodrake since the only time we did not have a person dying from something stupid at Kel'thuzad I was not in the raid.
And even though I dont have it i dont see a point in bringing them back since then they would just be another mount on the ever growing pile of common ones. Yes, it's black/plagued and some person might prefer that color, but there's just so many other choices, we have a plethora of avalible protodrakes already, and if you want a black mount there are plenty of those aswell. |

I just hope blizzard learned from their mistakes, NEVER remove content, Just make the achievement in such a way that it's still hard nomatter the lvl you're at.
|
Consistency is the keyword here, I believe. If Blizzard decided to change policies mid-WotLK and what's done is done, just say so. |
Casuals and their ability to get things already apply to 90% of the game. Let people be able to still enjoy things that arent getting handed out like candy. |
|

Wasn't talking about soloing content, but doing the achivements needed to get the mount. You can't solo every achivement needed, maybe some, but not all. |
|
|
Imo total removing mounts isn't good idea, just making it rare drop from Kel'thuzad like it was done with LK 25 HC mount. Its still will be rare and its still will be obtainable. So all will be satisfied. I personally missed full naxx 10 content because I was busy irl. But worked hard with guild to obtain ICC 10 and 25 mounts in wotlk times which are common like kodo now.

People who weren't customers when content was current cant expect to get the benefits of it all.
There goto be some sort of aknowledgement for ones achivements in the past not just the present tier. Black Proto drake is one of those. Personally people who enter Naxx in 2011 for the first time and come onto the forum and ask to get the same rewards baffles me. One thing I strongly agree with is that all extremly rare mounts are bound to account. If someone got Black Proto Drake for example they should be allowed to enjoy it on all their chars. |

I agree that players who complete the content when it was at its peak deserve a nod. And that nod was the fact that they got the drake whilst it was rare, at the time when only the best players were completing the content, and which made other players look on them with envy? The game is constantly evolving and changing, and it is this progression that allows other players (who may not have the same playing abilities or opportunities as the better players)experience those sections of the game which had been closed to them before. Should this in itself not allow players the opportunity to experience/obtain the mounts that in years gone by they could only dream of getting? By the time the non-raiding sections of the community are picking up these older mounts, the players who got the Naxx mounts will probably be getting the newest ones available from the newest raids anyhow. Another nod :) I dont really see how allowing the players obtain the Naxx mounts now "takes away" or detracts from the prestige that the better raiders got from obtaining them first way back in the day. |
Not meaning to troll or anything here, but it's just too obvious with a blue post like this. Here goes *Cough cough* Insane in the membrane *Cough* :) Now you all have a nice day..:P |

I agree. I think the keyword is Consistency. Why remove the Naxxramas meta achivement mounts but not the ulduar and Icecrown ones? ICC and ulduar is more of a challenge? Hardly anymore. |

You just gave yourself the answer to what you claim not to understand. THEY WILL NOT BE RARE ANYMORE. What you are saying is that people are only allowed to show extreme feats at 1 tier. Next tier its free for all. Most of the players their Black Proto Drakes the last quarter of Naxx tier. (I had my 2 weeks before Ulduar launch). So what you just suggested is that they would be able to "bee cool" for 2-5 weeks? ;) |
|
I'm pretty sure there was a blue post at one point saying if the demand was there then it's something they would look into doing...
But as has been said before, the attitudes of some players is like a child with his/her toys. They get a brand new toy, but won't let others play with their old one. |

I agree with Brashnard, dont remove things entirely. Instead make things a very rare drop instead.
In the end, the high end players will have the new shiny mounts, gear, items and whatnot when it's current content. A more casual player would get it later (if not removed), but then the high end players would allready ahve the next big thing. I really cant see the problem letting things stay ingame, just make it a low droprate from the end boss in the raid/instance. |

I can only laugh very loud at this, so this mount is allowed to be rare? while everything else must be nerfed and made easy so that almost everyone can get it..... I understand it's not your call or decision Takralus, so don't take this as a jest towards you, I think most of you Blue Posters are doing a great job considering the hands you're given by your employer. Sad to see Blizzard, acting so much like politicians :( |

I am suggesting that they are able to "bee cool" for the duration of time that it takes for other players to be able to obtain the mounts also (either by out-levelling or out-gearing the content) be it 4-5 days, weeks, months, or years. They can enjoy their time in the spotlight during that time. But to make the mounts unobtainable to every other player once the content progresses is a little bit too much of a "nod". It is a nod that goes on and on and on until Warcraft ends. And if so, why not remove ALL achievements, all titles and all mounts from all other older content dungeons and raids? The answer: becasue if you did, who would bother running the old content at all? |
|

I raided with people who didn't want to bother with those achievements back then, thus only managed to complete the drakes when they "should have" been removed. It just boggles my mind I can't go back to collect the two from the very first starter tier, which should be the most forgiving of all? The lack of consistency really is confusing.
The tier itself was quite laughable difficulty-wise. Outside of Sartharion with his three drakes (which was so horribly designed that it was way harder on 10man and quite trivial on 25man), there really was not much of a challenge. In fact, the designers of the achievement found the tier so ridiculously easy, that they implemented achievements to complete it with fewer than 9/21 people. Note that this type of achievement hasn't been there since tier7 because raiders sure loved getting sat out for that. The only true """"challenge"""" that denied most raiders' drakes was 'the Immortal' on 25man (10man often being occupied with Sarth and 3 drakes due to its difficulty). It sure was fun seeing someone disconnect midfight week in week out. Most of the time it wasn't due to them having the connection equivalent of some third world country, it could just have been anything random. Especially in early wotlk when there was an issue with Wintergrasp making the entire server lag badly, which lasted half the tier's duration until fixed. If you want to be a special snowflake; go be proud of your many realm's first titles, achievement date or ability to prove yourself in current content. There's no reason to deny collectors a shot at the mounts again. You could even go as far as making them a 1% drop off Kel'Thuzad to make it on par with "the Immortal"'s RNGfest again. |
