Already a few of us have been talking about how most of our guilds are losing lots of members and barely taking in enough recruits, or having low quality applicants to our guilds which has been knocking back some of our progress in raiding, but also some guilds with a pvp/rp initiatives lacking numbers.

One thing is that guild officers can contact myself or officers of Dark Elders, Liberated and Prophecy as we are currently setting up a chat channel between guilds so that we can help eachother out.
While co-operating with eachother's guilds we are also working on agreements of trading boes/essences/epic gems cheaper than AH over the chat, and have a no fee policy for crafting items for others if they bring their own mats. If you wish to join the channel poke one of the officers of either guilds for info.

I have also put together a realm youtube channel where I can collect realm videos people make of rp, raiding and pvp and other realm events or funny videos. Even silly music parodies *cough!* If you have any videos you wish to be added to the realm playlist just put the link below and I will put it in. I will update on realm events and competitions, if you put your name down below too, I will throw you an invite for the next one. Will set up a monthly event on a saturday evening with gold prizes and possibly other stuff. The odd month I will also host an art competition for anyone who wishes to take part with a gold prize and will allow everyone to vote for the winner. These currently are a regular thing within dark elders from time to time, and hope to involve the rest of the realm.

Hope the alliance side can do the same thing and dont just gave up and move to a other realm.
Try to do this realm better!

Going to try get in touch with any horde guilds interested in this, only thing about the channel etc, I do not want it turning into another trade channel with trolling etc, just wish to have a nice helpful and friendly atmosphere between all of the guilds.
We have a pug raid tonight so will ask some of the members from guilds like obscura legio etc if they would be interested.

Also Kijani I noticed there is an event happening alliance side hosted by Aegis, might be an idea to get some sort of alliance between the alli side guilds. set up a teamspeak/ventrillo meeting or something :)

If any officers of guilds horde side are interested in their guild taking part in this please mail me in game or whisper me, and will try to arrange a TS meeting between our current officers and your guilds officer team to inform you of everything and also to see if you have any other ideas to help. :)

try what Kapara did & make a Puggy chat channel. Initially it was pretty good with only some progress guilds given details (about 4 or 5). It took months for it to become reasonably common knowledge but it never got as bad as trade or general chat. There were many highly successful pug events from there.

well our channel isn't just for raiding but trading between guilds, socialising and setting up events so all can see without all the spam and trolling. so far i have spoken to someone from insomnia and the diet of wyrms, made a post on furr balls website to try spark some interest and trying to see if the lost ones would be interested. obviously i do not know every gm/officer of every guild on horde side but im sure they can either contact me or someone else will know :)

I'm going to ask Ribur if he hasn't finished the Cold Steel (a new beverage we're going to launch) video commercial yet.
Maybe it would make a good addition to the youtube channel. :)

just an update, will be having a meeting with some other guilds soon and we have our realm page up and running so feel free to register! I will start putting gem recipes up later on it and see what profession recipes we have right now.

I think this seems like a really great initiative, except that a new realm forum seems slightly exclusive of non guilded/non horde people. & if your site takes off then having a realm forum separate to the official one would surely be detrimental to the realm, as our own forum would look dead & unappealing. Just my 2 cents.

well these are often outdated and full of recruitment and other things so really gets in the way of trying to advertise for events and such with everyone bumping up their posts, atleast on the enjin forum posts are mostly done by horde side taking part in this, it would be pointless to include alliance as most of the things that are including don't stretch out to alli side. However with non guilded people either they prefer playing alone, are guildless for a reason or do not use any of the forums anyways, so I do not see that being a problem. Obviously there may be a small number who may be interested and guildless....but if they have no raid group, they have no other support for raiding or pvp, or help to gear, get tips and so on....so aren't in a position to help anyone unless they do join a guilds raid group or pvp team. Unless they are ofc a pve/pvp hero :P

plus this forum tends to shun anything that may be non wow related or go slightly offtopic, so for example someone finds an amazing video and wants to share it, they can't post it here at risk of it being deleted. This will not happen on the enjin one because it has different sections for the relevant topic.

I must agree here with Serenal
This happened with wowgamer, the RP forums for this realm, excluding new people and those unwilling to go to yet another forum. Making this one seem empty, outdated and certainly not appealing to roleplayers. If I compare this to other rp realms with no own forum you will see lots of activities and events advertised, making those realms so much more welcoming and open

obviously we will still use the dmf forums for to update others, but mainly it is a place where guild officers can discuss things and so on, but if their guild members wish to join and take part in the art competitions or other events on the calendar then the more the merrier. It is not manditory they use the forums, but if they wish to take part in these things they will need to contact one of the officers, post below or go on the enjin page and put their name down. It makes it so much easier to organise for me and others if we can co-ordinate our efforts together to put events up and running for everyone. This includes updates, asking all officers involved to put an update on their calendars in game as guild events, guild message updates and so on.
and it also is a place where we can post images for the art competition that is currently happening, and will every so often.
Also for things like voting this will become very useful on enjin since it has that available to make polls.
There will still be updates on here too, so I doubt it will affect the rp forums, anyways right now all i see is alot of threads getting bumped up the page complaining that the realm is dying, yes there may be the occasional event advertised and guilds actively recruiting but stuff like those posts are the problem right now with sending people from other realms the other way.

Plus I have also made a youtube channel and collected videos which is public so if others contribute we may be able to get some interest in the realm from videos of events, rp and other wow related videos or parodies.


anyways I am rambing on abit....but the forums are a very small part of what is going on anyways so its kind of picking at a tiny thing which barely makes any difference.

I do agree that we should avoid anything that would make us become a small clique, or a secret society so to speak. So I think it's best if we stick to the realm forums, not entirely, but as much as we possibly can. Even for brainstorming and idle chatter.

Casual chatter is rare now. But that was not the case in the past, and it sure as hell doesn't need to be in the future, right?

Having most of the planning/brainstorming/chatter right here would make this place come alive, and that could probably attract a few transfer-ins looking for just that. (Whilst posts called "the realm is dying", although I do understand the good intention behind it, -probably has the exact opposite effect. Let's.... not bump that one ;))

Anyways, that's just a detail really. Something we could work out in time.

totally agree with you there Selassie and we have schedualed a realm event for the 31st at 5pm gametime, this could be anything from a random pvp event to something silly like tauren darts (throwing yourself off thunderbluff and closest to the logged out corpse of the tauren wins a prize, then 2nd lower prize and 3rd an even lower prize.

Art Competition deadline is on the 25th, we only have 2 comics right now but would be awesome if we get a few more entries! 50g per entry and the winner will receive 10k gold and a blizzstore pet/mount of their choice.

Totally up for this. I am glad to see so many others are too. for so long horde side of DMF has been dying a slow death, and i have really noticed a drop in viable guild applicants. see u on channel 5 ;p
