Well if they can move 1 or 10 characters when you PAY WITH YOUR MONEY, they can move the whole server to another one and close that one down, but they will not do it! |
yes, that is one character at each time. Even without any coding knowledge you would know that: In order for it to work that one character is transferred succesfully it needs to have : No mail in inbox, no auctions present, etc etc. Now imagine if thousands of people need to do this at same time, there will always be some derplots who won't do it. Which would result in failure. Secondly, each server has it's own database. If you were to merge two servers, you need to make sure they merge flawlessly because otherwise people would lose stuff. Such a thing would lbe unacceptable and is not worth the risk. As you can see, just these small things make it already a pain in the !@# to do so. And then comes all the coding that needs to be changed or adapted in order for it to work. TL;DR, you are among the people who are too shortsighted to see why it is taking so long. And besides, there are more matters to be dealt with that are more important. Most servers are doing just fine. |

I played here with my main account for years, and between 1 or 2 fail free transfers to our realm BLizzard dint do anything to assist players here to have fun and a active realm.
Its either PAY massive amounts of euro's to get the hell of the sinking ship or go under with it. Its a disgrace Blizzard do not merge servers who are in the same position as oursleves. believe me there are plenty of other servers out there that reuire dire assistance in population. But we know what happens..........nothing/niente/nada unless we PAY money ontop of our subscription. Soon Guildwars 2 is out, and after playing the Beta i can say its on par with WoW on most aspects ecept hardmode PVE contend where blizzrd remains King of kings. I like to pvp and explore, and GW2 offers that, and in some ways even bettr then blizzard. My choice is easy, when GW2 arrives i will cancal my 3 accounts and move to GW2. Tired of whining li9ke a child to blizzard to pls assist us on this matter. its been going on for years and years now. 2 million subs down since Cata and many many more quit each month. MoP is fail for me with those damn kiddy panda bears anyway, so its easy for me to say goodbye. |

When is there going to be a blue post on this thread, the population on this server is slowly dying and has been for a long time, but now its beyond a joke, new players are put off from joining as its a low pop server and rightly so what incentives do they have to roll on LS?
Its about time LS was merged with another low pop server, or give us the chance to transfer our characters elsewhere, you have merged korean servers without them having to pay for the service so why should we? And yeah it'll pick up when MoP drops but that will only ease the suffering for a while, guilds just rotate members now rather actually recruiting new players. Anyone have an idea that doesnt involve us all cancelling our subscription (not that would do s**t mind you), we need a way for blizz to take note of our displeasure with the service we are receiving, maybe if we made some sort of petition, and then forward it to customer services. |

Probably never because Laughing Skull is not a special snowflake who is the only realm facing a population and imbalance crisis.
Realm transfers cost dosh, faction transfers cost dosh. Blizzard is a business after all, unless a mass amount of people start quitting because of a certain factor, don't expect foreseeable change. Merging servers, as mentioned above somewhere, I think, is messy and isn't as simple as you might think or maybe they are, I don't know. Korea is like Blizzard's test tube baby and a tantruming one at that (see raids on Blizzard offices for Diablo DRM) and they've tried a lot on them such as 2 raid resets and a week and some other jazz. The server is dying?
The server is dead months now... BLIZZARD merge us or open free transfers to more popular servers! People nowadays are not in the financial situation to pay for subscription (monthly) buy the expansions every now and then and MOREOVER to pay for the character transfers! Due to the fact that i (and many other) can not afford the migration amount, have 7 characters in 5 different servers... Fact that is not making me feel happy jumping like a nomad from server to server and leveling from start each time! SO DO TELL YOU CARE ABOUT THE MONEY? OR ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS? MONEY DON'T COME FROM UNSATISFIED CUSTOMERS! P.s.1 Looking forward to get an answer from a sincere employee! P.s.2 Looking forward to see a free migration option asap! No pvp @ server, almost no serious raiding, terrible market, arenas / rbgs extinct... Keep up the good work Blizz! No money to migrate, no fun @ game, /wtquit soon... Pandas won't make any difference in a dead server... Too bad that we actually pay for this game to get no attention from Blizz, too bad we pay monthly for services that don't match our needs! P.s. Was playing on LS since vanilla. Transfered to sylvanas 1 year ago and i am enjoying it there so much. Logged on LS today and i saw 3 people in SW.. Like WTF !? Blizzard really needs to do something !
