Stupid fails when tanking :)

Yup. Also I feral charge (in cat form) the tentacles on madness Poof! off the edge. I also forgot which model I was and thought I was someone else and just ran off the edge... it was very stupid as I was in cat form and there were no ferals in the raid. |

Yesterday we were having our HC zon'ozz tries...for the first time.
We went over tacs quickly and i pulled, the boss hit me incredibly hard so i had to concentrate on staying alive alot. After the first black phase I was tanking zon'ozz facing the raid....yeah. Needless to say, BOOOOOM he oneshotted the whole raid with psychic drain.. After that.....silence..... |

On my DK: tanking in unholy or frost presence. I tend to do that a lot.
On my warr: being so distracted by everything else other than wow that I fail on Ultraxion's Hour of Twilight and Fading Light. |

Well this is not exactly a "tanking" fail but it's related.
On madness I switched from protection to arms but forgot to also change to dps gear. For the first 2 platforms I was like "wtf my dps is so low?!"...then I noticed the shield :|...and now that I think about it it also happened the other way around. I switched to tank spec but stayed in dps gear :D. You can imagine how these fights went. |

Saw CTA on an alt today, logged my Paladin (My main tanking character)
Got WOE, Didn't really want to do it :( So I left. CTA was still up so I went onto my Druid, got in... Again WoE, but SAME Group! Then the Warrior DPS goes; 'LOL HINNAA!' (My main's name, everyone knows me by it) Naturally I don't really know who he is... So I go: '?' He then reveals himself to be one of my friends that I had just come out of a guild run raid of like 20 minutes before, he always talked about a second Warrior he'd made but I didn't know what it was. xD |

Tanking Hc Raggie on 10man so we were hugging for the small adds. See raid going low, pop tranquility forgetting I was tanking.
Thinking co tank has taunted and gone kitty, shortly after gone splat. Not taunting at correct number of stacks, I needed my rip up :P |

That one is a huge issue... Bear form should automatically refresh rip on the target...or put a 5pt combo point rip (tiger's fury boosted of course) in case the target does not have one already. |

To be honest as a tank i dont fail to much, but back in Ulduar 25 man i remember tanking General Vexas, and it was super boring..... so i decided to use the minimise buff (dalaran cooking daily thing) and as he minimised the mellee dps lost the hitbox and missed 2 interupts and bam wipe. I found it hilarious, shame the other 24 men didnt.............

Three for me that spring to mind;
1. Onyxia 25 I was OT on my warr and stood in with the melee to do a bit of DPS while the MT had her facing the back wall. I went to use an ability, missed and hit my taunt. Suddenly Ony is facing 24 other people looking miffed. Luckily I had the quick thinking to run to the MT turning her away from the raid before she did a breath/cleave giving him time to taunt back. 2. Back in ICC heroic tanking Syndragosa I meant to use divine protection for the breath, missed and hit my bubble. Syn decides to turn to the raid, breath and cleave everyone to death. Oops. 3. Recently on Madness, all 3 platforms down and we're about to do the 4th. A drood hits his movement roar buff thing, I don't notice and start to do some dps on the claw before the impaling tentacle arrives. As it's about to arrive, I turn to run, fumble about and fall off the edge of the platform because I'm moving too fast due to the roar - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. |

I usually heal on my paladin, and when asked to spec tank, I almost always forget to activate righteous fury /facepalm

First Halion Heroic kill, i tanked the intire encounter with my Chef's Hat equipped :s
Other than that i don't really recall any fails. other than constantly saving Shield Wall until it's too late (the effects of having tanked since back when it was on a LONG cd i guess :( ) |

After switching to DPS for Hagara last night i forgot to reapply Righteous Fury for Ultraxion and Blackhorn. I only noticed while tanking a Dreadblade so god knows how i managed to keep aggro on Ultraxion. |

Last night was a good one...
Tanking hc morchok for the first time, I'm os tank so usually one of our real tanks does it, I was tanking the clone, all goes well initially, then he spawns the clone and what do I do? I taunt the wrong guy, the one I was ment to be tanking is busy killing healers, while I had morchok... Not my finest moment. |

So me and younglings go to spine heroic. feeling truly heros. Cracked it ! Aoe works, timings work. Last plate, and all that sizzle, and then the Hideous tank, that be me, didn't manage to get the last blood in time and Hideous died on 8 stacks. There went the kill and the morale for that raid.
I think I really wanted to log off on that spot and delete character. :> |

I am very proud of my latest tanking-fail...
For my very first raid with OTG, I managed to reach a level of fail that's worthy of my goofiest moments: Being ret as offspec, I switched to DPS for a few fights. Like Hagara. And back to Prot afterwards. I seemed to notice that Ultraxion's Hour of Twilight was taking me lower on health than I expected, but I put it down to being too used to playing on overgeared tank and shrugged it off. On the Gunship though, I got that feeling of dread slowly creeping over me. I was taking a serious beating. Something was wrong. Blackhorn dropped on the ship, and... omigosh! I had the avoidance of a cheesecake. Splat. Wipe. Turned out that when I switched back from my DPS to my tanking gear (using the ingame equipment manager, nothing fancy!), only the weapon and shield had been swapped. I had been tanking in my Ret armor since Hagara's death... [Deamooha] has earned the achievement [wiped her guild's raid]. New Title unlocked {Deafail} |

Hit Spine, we decide to try single tanking it, meaning I do that. NP, we start doing it, everything goes perfectly fine. Kill second tendon, kill tentacles, prepare for a roll. Suddenly I see the ground go away and I am floating with the amalgamations that were unwanted. Apparently, I had missed the real grip part when I was in a hurry, keeping bloods busy, and stood in between 2 red spot. Was promptly a wipe when the only other plate we had (other tank in frost spec) went splat right after he got gripped/had amalgamation on him. Felt real stupid after that, since I usually never fail on that kind of stuff. |

Well, on my paladin ive had the classic times where i pulled (was the main tank), and forgot i didnt have RF on! The i most especially remember are onxyia (25 man) and Lord Marrowgar in icecrown citadel.
Then there's that time i was offtanking on the Lurker Below back in tbc and i missclicked on my taunt key. xD Also starting a boss fight in either dps spec, or dps gears. I used to spend a lot of time in both as both my dk and paladin so it wasnt imediately noticable that i shouldnt have pulled yet! :D Tanked heroic dark portal in cat form once, turns out that without the -crit cats are quite squishy xD. Well, i have always been known amongst associates as a mad tank anyway. :P |
