Starting events in LFR
|
Does anyone else think that it might be a good idea that only the RL could start events in the second half of LFR? It's a real pain when some guy, knowing that he is about to get kicked because he is doing 10k dps/5k hps/being rude/whatever runs over and starts the event, so he can't be kicked; this is especially true when the tank or healers have just left.
I know it wouldn't solve the problem entirely, but at least we would know who to blame :P |

Doing 10k dps is fine.

And what if the raid leader goes AFK? ;)

Uhm..lolwut? 10k dps is fine? :P
I've been in LFR where i've been threatened with a kick for being lowest dps at 25k. But yes, i agree with OP. I've been in too many instances where someone has started the encounter with sometimes no tanks zoned in and only two poorly geared healers present. Yet somehow the group is still surprised they wipe :) Fun times in LFR, no one says you have to be insane to do it...but it sure helps |

Rather than having the RL start the enounter, you could have some kind of minivote.
"Iamthebestdk is about to start the battle. Press Yes if you accept." Say 15 out of 25 people agree to starting the encounter, or maybe 20. But obviously 25 people would never work. |

Thought I'd bump, turning aside the lowest DPS arguement.
It's become more frequent, in my expereince, with people starting an encounter, then leaving once the loot has been rolled on/won. Seen this quite a bit on deathwing. Maybe using some sort of readycheck system is better, when someone goes to start the encounter, everyone gets a window asking if they're ready. If more then 50% say yes, the encounter starts, putting the decision in the hands of the majority rather then just 1 person. |
