priest from all over the realms :D Yay we have BH & renew back :3 This is one thing that really had me worried lol, ty for the info. So can we stack DA & Spirit Shell with a PW:S thrown on top all at the same time then? So end up with a rather redonk absorb? |
|
|
yeah but the duration of spirit shell is like 3-4 secs so i dont know how valid the shield would be it takes 3 cast to reach max + 1 shield + lets say PoH spam for DA its all proactive. only if spirit shell is last in getting absorb it can count as a valid heal

Wow, priests aren't getting very much compared to other classes. Warlocks and druids in particular are getting lots and priests just seem to be forgotten about.

The talents are pretty stupid, all this about there being loads of choice is total crap. Just look at the options... (Disc PvE)
1. First row are all pretty useless in raids, only good for dungeons & you can't use fear, so Void Tendrils is the only option. 2. Body & Soul, obvious choice, the other two don't really add much to our healing ability 3. Archangel, again obvious especially as disc 4. A heal to myself or a new tank CD, what a hard decision, NOT. Void Shift, obvious choice >.> 5. This is the only one with any real choice, and it depends how much regen we have. I would really like serendipity now, but would I of liked it in 4.1? Nooooo. I'll probably go with PI on launch but we'll see. 6. Vow of Unity, for a 2 minute CD, is pretty bad. Divine Star I REALLY DON'T LIKE. Ever since I saw that spell first come up I was like PLEASE DON'T LET IT GET OUT OF BETAAAAA. It's just going to be plain BAD on 10man, and you're going to have to try to get people to position themselves better which is never a good thing. So yea, the choices are rather boring for me. The only new interesting spell that actually has any use in my mind is Void Shift. |
|
|
actually with evangelism as a base spell and atonement as a glyph its the obvious choice for holy aswell :p pve wise
they made serendipity isntead of 10% up to a max of 20% reduce mana to be 40% up to a max of 80% if im not mistaken or up to a maxof 40% i dont remember exactly but it gives more than PI ,but yeah PI seems more appropriately as u wont have to flash heal to gain the buff
em u cant cast vow of unity to a targe that is assgin as tank :p sooooooo i guess divine star seems better :p like most fights in DS u had to stack so i guess it would trully shine in situations like ultraxion, on cataclysms madness etc where they have to be stacked... im more egger to see the 2 new talents for us and the 87 lvl ability :p and pray to blizz gods to give us a permant healing pet to choose :D cause if they do divine star would be out of the window :D but its only a dream :p |

There are rumours that From Darkness, Comes light has changed slightly for ShadowPriests.
***Updated*** From Darkness, Comes Light (Talented Spell, Tier 3) [LINK] Passive Holy and Discipline: Surge of Light You have 15% chance when you Smite, Heal, Flash Heal, Binding Heal or Greater Heal to cause your next Flash Heal to be both instant cast and have zero mana cost. Shadow: Surge of Darkness You have 15% chance when you deal damage with Mind Flay to cause your next MIND SPIKE to be instant cast, have no Shadow Orb cost and will not remove any DoT effects on the target. However, I am yet to find a reliable source (lol, reddit) and will not update the main post until then. |
|
Atleast they upped the proc chance on it, the current 6% blows.

There are rumours that From Darkness, Comes light has changed slightly for ShadowPriests. Source or this would be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxpOV93f-aA at 04:31, it's a bit different, but in essence the same =) Do remember that the video is 3 days old, so it could very well have changed since then ^^ Hope it helped a bit =) |

AWESOME POST !!!
This was kind of a hole in the market. Since the pieces of information never end up being bundeled. Providing all player with an extremely confused insight about all the new class changes (including: what's new, what was changed, what was reversed). Over time you just lose track of everything. Therefor : extremely good idea. The thing I would like the most; is that this thread would become a medium to give Blizzard feedback. As constructive feedback is usually hard to find, and even harder to post in a specific topic. You'dd nearly always have to create an intirely new topic to adres ur own concern. Those would usually end up being spammed away. This could end up being a huge contribution to priest class design for the next expansion. As for my personal contribution to this post. I would love for you to add this link to your text. It is extremely PvP oriented ( as am I ). And concidering all the hardache Dpriests were given in MoP, this post AUGHT to be seen by Blizzard. http://hydramist.tv/pvp/discipline-priests-in-mop-why-blizzard-does-care/ Kind regards, PS: In hydra's latest cover on MoP Beta, meaning the current built (see link above). You will notice that Psychic Scream became a baseline ability for all specs. The talent was changed to 'Dominate Mind' which is basically a MC, only with 1.5 sec cast and a 30 sec CD. This was never announced, but that's what is CURRENTLY in the MoP Beta talent spec. If you would check the link and the clips on hydramist. You will see this is not the only change. Void Shift has been moved up to tier 4 aswel, along with talents being deleted and replaced with a 'coming soon' title. |

AWESOME POST !!! Thanks for the support. At the moment, I don't at least my posts to lean towards and favour either PvE or PvP. I am a PvE player, however the information in this thread is based on fact and not fiction or opinion. In short, I don't want this to turn into your everyday whine about X and cry about Y thread. Again, the forums are here to discuss, but lets not completely derail to the pits of the forum and lets try to keep as constructive as we can. |

tbh i love playing my holy spec , but lightwell seems to go to waste , they could change it up a bit instead of clicking it change it to like the ones we see the mobs drop in the end time instance, which fires off charges , fair dues , would prob land on people that don't need healing , but then again its better than it sitting there unused cause people forgot it was there , could'nt see it and all the other reasons used

u do have a point there, but we did this discussion a billion times and the best thing we got was tier 12 4 set bonus :p

Level 87 Monk Ability
Transcendence: 3 min cooldown You split your body and spirit, leaving your spirit behind. Use Transcendence: Transfer to swap locations with your spirit. Transcendence: Transfer: 40 yd range 30 sec cooldown Your body and spirit swap locations. Level 87 Priest Ability Spectral Guise is back in. Spectral Guise: 30 sec cooldown Your shadow blurs into the darkness, leaving your true form behind. As a shadow you are invisible, but remain in combat. Lasts 6 sec or until your true form is hit by 3 direct attacks.soooo transcendence will be a lock demonic circle ability but its going to be a monk ability and not a priest ability.... adn they are trying to get spectral guise back... for reasons unknown to man or god ... source : http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=201901/brewmaster-monk-ability-animations-pandaren-racials-character-customization-and-#pandaren-talent-and-ability-changes |

spectral guise info,
http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=112833 i kinda preffered the idea of having transcendence instead of spectral guise sure every 3 secs u will be invinsibily but aint 3 direct attacks too little ? |
|
|
I'm still not sure what spectral guise is supposed to be used for.
Do we return to our bodies when the effect ends or is our body teleported to our spirit's location, so it's a form of mobility? Or can our shadow form cast spells regardless of what is happening to our true form? so essentially it's a way to keep healing/damaging while under CC? Can we cast it while polymophed/sapped etcetera? |
Yet all the information is pretty outdated as of last thursday. The video linked earlier: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxpOV93f-aA shows how the talents and spell spells currently look like. |

|
Posted by Thymian or a monk :p or an mm hutner with his pet... but more over aint it like completely useless in pve ? |

Good thread, and good effort Sien!
I will follow this thread closely. Best part so far: - Instant holy fire plus atonement glyph equals fun! - Instant holy fire equals smite surge of light à la WoTLK. Worst part so far: - Glyph of Lightwell makes me a sad panda. Hopes: - Reworked Chakra before 5.1 - That Monk lightwell will lead to holypriest lightwell being improved. |
