I'm currently studying for an undergraduate degree in Business Management at Northumbria University. My dissertation looks at the impact of social media on the development of consumer-brand relationships among 18-36 year old video gaming consumers in the UK. I really dont think alot of gamers are that influenced by greater companies and their commercials for games. Just have a look at Activision with their mw3 shizzles. Was supposed to be plain epic in the commercials, although it ended up being a total ripoff. Have another look at games such as Terra, which is yet to be fully discovered by the people around. So far its having an enormous fanbase.
