I knew it!
When I saw the alliance QQing about Theramore and losing ground in Cataclysm I knew the story would splinter off this way and they would be the ones to finish the war. The second war happened exactly the same, Horde rampages along sacks a ton of places with massive gains from the first. Then Alliance finally manages to gather up and drive them back even so far as to beating them back on home soil. So here we are again besieging one of our own cities with Alliance help just like the battle for Undercity all over again! (if only Varian Wrynn can also die with Garrosh, but thats too much to hope for) I agree with the poster earlier who said the only way Horde and Alliance would work together after all the stuff thats about to go down is if Garrosh is not the leader we think he is and is really a demon who replaced him before he stepped foot in Azeroth? Either way things must get very serious for Horde and Alliance to work together when war crimes are committed. I'm a little bummed out they leaked the ending but I can only think they must have done this to forestall any Alliance complaints that they are going to take a real beating soon to prevent more accusations and rage quits over "horde favouritism". |

Known things that happen to garrosh in MOP
As for my own theories... Metzen seemed to hint that Vol'jin and Varian will have some key moments with Garrosh. But I think Garrosh will get more and more... Possessed or manipulated by the Sha, since the recent addition of them being able to control others... Homever there can be something else as well. Heard some War crimes on one side, but I really want a source for that before developing any further :). |

I hope they don't kill him off, It would be really interesting to see Garrosh captured and thrown into a Prison such as Tol Barad, the Stockades or possibly the Vault. I would love to see Garrosh becoming a villain like Ner'zhul and Gul'dan possibly helping Sargeras get to Azeroth in a future expansion to get revenge on the Horde and the Alliance for imprisoning him.

Wow people are crying early. You know the end of the plot but not the journey. Actually, I'm probably one of the more vocal "The devs are biased", and I don't think anything approaching a complete victory would be a good idea. I just think the Alliance should get their OWN story, not a secondary role in a horde one. |

The death of garrosh is a terrible thing for the alliance. This would mean sylvanas c an use her full strength plague without any repercussions. This gets used on any alliance army/ stormwind and bye bye alliance. Wars as complex as this war aren't as simple as " destroy capital end of war" there is thunder bluff to destroy which is in a very easy to defend position, Undercity which if was ever taken would destroy all ideas of realism due to plague that owns everything, then there is the fact that we don't even know any actual details of this siege. For all we know garrosh is corrupted by something and we fight whatever minions are spawned. I doubt orcs would be fighting orcs for control of a city where all orcs are equals.

Thunderbluff is very easy to defend, yes. Unless the enemy has air superiority - I'm not sure of the relative air fleet strengths. Undercity, however, isn' a problem. The stupid plague is nowhere near the godmode bad quest scripts have implied it is. Remember, Undercity was defended by it LAST TIME we conquered it. |

Recycle, recycle, recycle!
Make, mold, abuse, end. Blizzard is really getting on a rampage of just listening to complaints and devising new ways to counter those complaints with future planning. People don't like Garrosh? It's easy. We kill the Garrosh. |
|
Yay, Garrosh turning into a new raid boss. Thrall prolly coming back as the benevolent mary sue leader of the horde who strives for peace above all else.
Next char after Garrosh we get to kill is Sylvanas. After all, we can't have any gray or dark characters in a playable faction, no sir. |

mmmm...something has just occured to me. Siege of orgrimmar, Garrosh dies, Garrosh is surely in Orgrimmar when he is killed...all of this is obvious but the question is, what happens once Garrosh has been delt with? What will stop the alliance from wiping the horde off the face of azeroth and on the other hand, if Garrosh's death was simply a lucky shot and he is discovered dead once the battle is finished and the alliance have been beaten back then what happens to the alliance? I suspect that to take Orgrimmar a substantial force would be needed so if they failed their military may well be crippled.
I expect that in order to maintain the status quo the alliance are going to have to be winning the battle in order to finish Garrosh. A battle like this, in the heart of one of the major factions driving our game, is going to destabalise the game as we know it, might blizzard be intending to make MoP their final expansion? |

A civil war of this scale will completely destroy the Horde's war machine.
Especially of the Alliance gets their armies in Stormwind, all it takes is for either one of their high lords, be it Tyrande or Varian, to just say; ''kill the rest'' and the Horde would've been history. I wanted to see the Horde get kicked back but this seems a tad bit... too much. Either that or I smell a bad plot. |

Garrosh dies.
Varian: We have won! Now on to the extinction of the orc race! Jaina: NO! My revenge has been sated! Jaina uses mass teleport.(super effective) Varian: WTF JAINA Y U TELE US TO SW????? |

I'm guessing this is all a knee-jerk reaction from Blizzard to the "OMG HOW COEM THE STORNGEST SHAMMY IN WURLD GETS TO BE EARTHWURDER? BLIZZ <3 HORD OMG"
Either way, I really, REALLY don't want Thrall to be the Warchief again. He never seemed to do ANYTHING before Cata, and now all of a sudden the whole game revolves around him because he's Metzen's author insert. |

Seems like a horde-centric story again with plenty of intrigue for their side.
And the alliance kind of seems to be dragged along for the ride a bit, without anything really revealing about our faction leaders .. again. Wohoo Garrosh gets killed .. what did he do to us again.. /bored now. I mean the 1-60 content doesn't do anything to show us the situation or why we should hate Garrosh .. Hope we get to PLAY some of the story on the alliance side this time. Shoddy work .. very shoddy for the alliance the 1-60 content was .. Looks like the devel team missed the point of the alliance players.. We don't really care we have to give away some lands or w/e, we care that we are getting fck all for story and explanations to why things are happening. And by this description seems like it's continuing in the next expansion. |

10g says Jaina will hug Thrall at the cut-scene after Garrosh is dead. And Tyrande will probably do that seal-clap she did during Thrall's "wedding" and giggle like a Japanese school girl.
We'll all learn that violence is never the answer, set differences aside yadayadayada... How's this different from the "teaming up to defeat the big evil" again (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ |
10g says Jaina will hug Thrall at the cut-scene after Garrosh is dead. And Tyrande will probably do that seal-clap she did during Thrall's "wedding" and giggle like a Japanese school girl. Because this time, it's For the Horde! |
