I hate how we lose our weapons in 5.0......

it basicly means we lose alot of stat points by having this done.

and why did you remove evasioness in the first talent tree? i liked it more then the web thing, and i think most hunters agree.

If we lose a lot of stat points from losing our melee weapons, that means we'll get more back from another source. Either we get more stats on our ranged weapon, stats will be worth more per point, or there will be other sources for our damagedealing.

I realize you like the melee weapon for flavor, and as it's your subjective feeling on this I can't argue on that. But please rest assured that losing your melee weapon doesn't mean you'll be nerfed statwise [Edit:] compared to other classes.

It's worth saying as well that every class is losing the relic/ranged slot. So it's a nerf to everyone not just hunters. Expect the main hand weapons stats to be equal across all classes.

dalros, relics etc got around 50 -100 at some stat, check my weapon....

i can get 950 agi just from the procc + the passive agi and the agi enchant.

Onto more longer explanation, they most likely will up the stats on ranged weapons, since melee can't use them like we can't use melee weps. Just wait. But on evasiveness I agree, it looked tasty :( And the wep chain, I'm pretty sure they won't forget that either.

So as all weapons are normalized...This would mean bows/guns/x-bows are treated as main weapons just as every 2h 1h, wand, staff and what more. They will therefore probably have the same/simillar stats. (we could always hope enchants would work out on ranged weapons aswell)

Hope they change so they can disarm hunters wep ;) otherwise, hunter will have major problem inte arena, a 10 sec disarm isn´t working

The stats will be made up for in another way.
That type of balancing is easy to do, and they are doing it right now...

The same for the enchant on the melee weapon.

The thing that worries me is the weapon chain.
There better be a ranged weapon version for it, since there is no trace of any hunter talent or ability lowering disarm time.

Not sure what the disarms are like in MoP, hopefully they all get balanced though.

We can forget one thing: that hunters ranged weapon would be immune to disarm... not going to happen, don't even dream about it.

edit: psychic scream for example, still lists melee AND RANGED... for 10 seconds :(

Warriors seemed to have lost there ranged disarm - I can't see any info on Rogues and SP's yet but it would be a bit unfair on warriors if they could not and others could.

Edit - A quick thought - If the Bow is the main hand weapon in MOP and the requirements for a Pyrium Weapon Chain is that it goes on the main weapon then nothing to worry about whatever the case.

maybe it's that simple yes.

And as I edited in my previous post: priests still disarm ranged too yes.

First of all we don't loose weapon but a mere stat-stick. Surely it will balanced out with other classes loosing just ranged stat-charger... absolutely pointless to discuss before that patch comes live.

Again one of these silly topic from the guy who keeps complaining about the beta without knowing anything what so ever about it.
We lose raw stats and we get the ability to use our primary weapon at all times, how is this not good? You even get the opportunity to wield it without it giving any stats, ofc.
But you don't think they've thought about the fact that when they take the stats away they're going to give them back in one way or another

There is a small plus and a minus to the change, but nothing in the lines of what you're crying about:

minus: more % white damage so more mitigation by armor, less on cloth of course who mitigate magic better anyhow...

plus: more white damage means a BIT (very tiny bit...) less focus dependant damage.

I doubt you will feel any of these, but that's the only change I can see so far.
If hunter damage will end up too low after beta, it will NOT be because of these recent 'nerfs' (which they aren't...)
