Feral is being feral. This spec has always been a scapegoat of blizzard team. In MoP ferals life is looking sad so far.. Like always there is no comminucation, not a word from devs.. And im quite sure it will go live as is, been there seen that.

1) -15% flat running speed nerf (no sane druid would ever pick another 15% speed back or ridiculous "displacer" over charge)

2) Savage Roar is back to its hardcore concept. Didn't they agree it was a little too hard to master for mediocre players, and a little too punishing in PvP? Guess not. "Suffer, !@#$%s"

3) Monks with bleeds removal..

4) A lot of useless garbage that is being promoted as "cool stuff".. Typhoon in cat form? You gotta be kidding me.. What is this? Blizzard trolling us?

5) Our lvl90 ability "symbiosis" is a slap in the face. We get to use outdated stuff that other classes had since vanilla and not even for free, we have to give them out our CD in exchange! And also it doesnt work for solo at all. Guess that's what feral was all this time. We were slowly getting outdated second-hand abilities from other classes a few expansions later.. Give me that play dead.. i mean feign death, mr. hunter, please, you can have my berserk! Take a look at rogue lvl90 ability for example.. it's a flat DPS cooldown, and a good one. They do not have to share that power with someone else! Or their last tier talents.. They've got a spammable ranged dps attack, redirect with no CD and extra combo points storage.. And feral gets.. Some healing crap.. Disentanglement that was baseline perk for feral for 6 years.. And the ability to produce a bit less crappy moonfires.. ..on 6 min CD. Outstanding! Im so impressed and thrilled about this expansion /heavy_sarcasm.

This is what I'm worried about too, the old Savage Roar just simply wasn't fun at all, not cause it was 'hard' but cause it limited the way to play and use combo points too much.

Atm it is choice between rip(dot), bite(instant damage), sr(passive damage) or maim(control). In mop it will be like use sr then you can choose, boring..

I don't know, taking our bear form away and basically giving it to warlocks with their tanking spec... I think it's too early for anything but atm it seems a bit unfair, we'll see.

I bet you guys that if Feral is worth anything in PvP in MoP, the whinging and moaning will commence again. Personally I like some of the things, and will be happy to try out Typhoon. More often than not I don't want an extra slow or root, but a way to peel people off myself. If anything, I'd like Cat to be a bit more durable so I don't have to clutch-shift to bear so often (which is only like once or twice per BG, but anyway).

What I don't understand is the favoritism. Having seen and played in the beta, I can't understand how Rogues get lolbuffed yet again and Feral gets the cheese-grater, again. Wait until they fix some of the bugs and try fighting some rogues who abuse Burst of Speed and Shadow Blades :P And here I thought Cheat Death was infuriating when trying to kill off Rogues.

P.S. Burst of Speed is an ability which increases speed by 70% for 4 sec, removes movement impairing effects and prevents their reapplication. Costs 60 energy with no cooldown. Fun times :P Anyone still picking Faerie Swarm or Mass Entanglement?

In addition, the way Rogues now synergize with each other, we're going to see a lot of paired rogues with Nerve Strike and Combat Readiness picked. One Rogue can go toe to toe with anything while the other provides the perfect tools to shut down targets in such a way that retaliatory damage is impossible, considering the extreme high burst Rogues deal anyway.

Well, this turned out to be a Rogue whine, but I think it's good to vent every once in a while.

tl;dr: If you thought Rogues are OP now, wait till MoP ladies and gents.

Bear is far from invincible. As for a dps shape in pve, it really doesn't mean much. When you have no haste, no cat glyphs and no cat talents, you do just as much damage in bearform as cat. Thats my experience as an agility stacking tank.

Then you doing something wrong Rotation wise (when in cat) and also when you tanking as bear you stack vengance without that bear dps is crap.

Smart people whould leave the druid alone or in bgs anyway after they gone bear (or even better cc him) the more they hit him the more rage he gets to heal himself, but then again how many smart people do you encounter in bgs....

people who complain about this are druid those who dont are not, i wish we got to keep frenzy regen but what alot of people arent realising were getting disentanglement back, powershift heals, better heals as feral than now (dots and hardcasts) and also the insta clones and insta HT is great. Btw ... bear still works ive tried it in beta all we loose is survival and regen as cat but we can heal full easy now and we take alot less damage in cat form compared to now :] wait and see for yourself <3

Splitting allows them to improve each forms game play further. The same reason they split Dk tanking from dps. For balance for PvP as one and gameplay for players themslves being other reason. Same happens to druids.

This is the most stupid thing blizz have come up with so far.

No this is the most balancing thing blizz has ever done!
As a feral in pvp you are 100% dps and 75% tank -> that makes you an 175% fighter!

prehaps before people complain about the loss of hybrid abilities they should look at the talent trees a bit more closely.
natures swiftness on 1 1 min cd allows u to cast the spell it works on now (big heal, cc, brez) without leaving form as an instant cast.
Hotw. might be a 6 min cd but gives u 45 secs of being another spec druid. so as feral u can tank for those 45 secs (u get crit immunity amongst other thing) or u can range dps (spell hit, spell damage increased all balance spells free of mana)
or u can resto for 45 secs (healing doubled. all healing spells free of mana)
to me this gives more hybrid possibilites not less.
also check out the possibilities of wild charge. it does different things depending on form but one of the nicest is being able to charge a friend or a mushroom to get to stacking areas quickly but i have seen videos of druids on the beta getting from the wsg start area to the roof by charging one of their own mushrooms.
and finally check out the awesomeness of symbiosis. choose what classes spell you lack for an encounter and get your own copy of it. if you have looked at the list and not seen the huge potential these have in pve and pvp then prehaps you are playing the wrong class and should reroll to a simpler one.

Good aspect for druids is the reinforcement of our adaptibility for support rolling in a raid like it was back in Vanilla.

We were never meant to be 100% mainstream in our spec-field (be it melee dps/tank/healer/ranged dps). Instead we are supposed to sit about 85-95% efficient with the remaining % being put into another field.

That kind of ability was removed with Wotlk finalising the shift if I remember right to give the players of the class at the time what was wanted- more to 100% of the field.

MoP looks like it will give players the chance to make the choice between a 100% build in that field or 85/15 split. Should be good tbh.

I mark your words. I think you're on to something great here. In Vanilla we were very much hybrids, capable of lasting long and have slow-steady fights, instead of just quick clean kills.

What is a bit of a worry to that, was when the enrage timers were implemented on every boss, into very tight time limits, so suddenly druids were thrown out, and other dps was taken in instead.

Now it gives you a chance to specialize even more, and hopefully in Mists, we won't see tanks, of any class. Taking up a dps spot, meanwhile they tank. In Pvp the bearform has also been quite OP for some time, however it's nothing compared to Blood DKs who were pretty much invincible in a long time of cata. If all that will eventually be balanced, between Dps output and endurance - this will prove some quite interesting arena fights.

Will you go for staying alive for longer, or for the heavy damage? - Now Blizzard gives you a chance, and I hope resto druids will (finally) have a chance to enter the arena as well.

Bear survivability (as Feral) in MoP is really not bad. At lvl 85, I still have 50% damage reduction from armor and some damage reduction cooldowns.

However, the real golden nuggets are all the CD's we get from talents. Nature's Swiftness with a +50% Healing Touch fx - where you never leave bear form to cast it! That's a 50k heal (non-crit) @ lvl 85. In fact, you heal more in MoP, it seems (even though they removed a ton of healing spells, sadly). And there are a lot of nice CD's you can use in bear (like Typhoon).

Of the CD's you get for bear form, there's also Frenzied Regeneration. Heals you for 21k with 60 Rage @ lvl 85. The fun part is that it hasn't got a CD anymore, and your attacks build Rage :D

In fact, I completely pawned a Hunter as Feral in bear form (in a duel, him being 86, me 85). I just used my Rage for FR to self-heal and beat him down with Mangle (post-nerf) and FFF.

Now, couple that with the ability to shift out of root effects and all the CC you can dish out and bear form is suddenly a whole lot better. In Cata, it's very difficult to get back into cat form, if you get pressure and have to go bear. In MoP, you can use bear form to avoid dipping too low, do some CC and quick self-healing and you're back in cat form!

The main difference will be that you need to use active abilities to turn the tide - and your CD's need to be ready, ofc :)

I've been playing a feral druid since WoW release in Nov 2004. I will just stop playing one.
Blizzard's bad decisions won't force me to play a class/spec I don't enjoy anymore.
