Hi, I have changed my email since signing for the annual pass and still no beta. I have had my account since 2005 and AP since the start of November....could this have affected it? My account was compromised a bit back but unsure which month. For all new people posting here: This issue is about people who received beta invitation mail on wrong email account. If you still have access to your "old" mail account and haven't got a mail, you simply haven't been invited yet. |

According to earlier blue posts, the last waves of the invites only get mails if it was verified their flagging was succesfull... |

Some individual responses for those of you that’ve joined the thread since my last post…
Anx, As Mammoth explains, the predominant issue in this thread really isn’t just that the email address on account has been changed in the past, as that in and of itself won’t have any specific bearing on either Beta eligibility or when and how invitations get sent out. To that end, I’m afraid I won’t be passing along your account details for investigation, as not only was the email address longer ago than most of the other posters in this thread, it was also prior to your sign up for the Annual Pass (as you yourself mention) so there shouldn’t be any issues of this kind preventing you from receiving your invitation when the time comes. :) Prostin, I can’t make any guarantees that your issue will definitely be the same as the early posters in this thread, as they obviously did receive legitimate Beta invitations to their old email addresses, but I’ve passed your details along anyway due to the potentially worrisome timing of your own email change. :) Ogier, I’m afraid that it’s not actually possible for me to check whether an account should already have been sent a Beta invitation (as these matters aren’t handled by support), but as the timings of your email changes do somewhat match up to the “difficult area”, I’ve also passed your details along just in case. :) Locktor, Posting here is already a step in the right direction, and if your received invitation was indeed genuine then hopefully this is something we can get sorted along with the others when that happens. :) Alorian, Unfortunately my response for you would have to be very similar to Ogier’s above, as it’s not possible for us to actually check these things at a support level. Your timings also match up, however, so I’ve added your name to the list to be checked. :) Bléyd, I notice that you seem to have changed your email address back since posting in this thread originally… or at least back to what it was prior to this morning. The original email change, however, occurred back at the start of March so that could potentially have had an adverse effect – this sadly isn’t something I can check for you but, assuming you’ll now be keeping your details as they currently are, I shall pass the information on as well. :) Ryük, I can appreciate that you may be quite keen to get into the Beta, but having checked your account thoroughly I imagine you’ve only posted in this thread on the off chance? By this I mean that your Annual Pass sign-up seems to have been quite recent, and any email changes performed were prior to that date, so this issue shouldn’t actually affect you at all. Jr, You seem to have since changed the address back again, on the 22nd? I’ll be passing your details along all the same, but do please post and let me know as soon as possible if you don’t plan on now keeping them as is for now. :) Nashari, Again this sadly isn’t something we can check into specifically, but I’ll be passing your details along just in case anyway. :) Sathira, Similar to the others above, I’m afraid, but the date of your email change is such that I’ll send your information along also. :) Troalta, You actually don’t seem to have changed the email address associated with your account since June of last year, so I highly doubt that this situation will be having any effect on when you’ll be receiving your own Beta invitation. As for the account already attached to your Battle.net account, there shouldn’t be any issue with having a single PTR account (and the Starter Edition won’t have any bearing at all), unless you also happen to have a further PTR account visible when you change between the EU and US sides of Battle.net (by altering the “eu” or “us” part at the start of the URL). If you do see the number of PTR accounts change when you do this (and only if you do), please take a look at the following thread instead; Genuine MoP Beta invite, but no "MoP" on battle.net acc http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3553415461 Noigan, Your email change appears to have been back in November so, while it may have been after you originally signed up for the Annual Pass, it’s very unlikely to have been recent enough to affect account flagging or Beta invitations (which only really started occurring from the beginning of March onwards). To that end, it’s quite possible that you may simply not have received an invitation yet, particularly considering the age of your WoW account. :) To the others still waiting for news, I’m terribly sorry to say that I haven’t returned to work today to find any more updates for you guys. I’ve effectively “bumped” the issue in the process of adding the new accounts to the case file, so hopefully that will have a beneficial effect, but please accept my sincere apologies once more that there haven’t been any further developments as yet. :( |

Sorry for redirecting more people here Nephadne, especially the ones pretending they changed their email and thinking they're going to outsmart you when you have access to all of that information and somehow beat the system, but I figure if there are so many people that are genuinely affected by the issue then we'll surely see some progress.
Got any comments about this thread here? http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3686609784?page=1 This person claims to be affected by the same issue as us...except the issue was identified and supposedly fixed by a single Customer Support Representative rather quickly, instead of needing a crack team of the best elite agents in the US to sit around for 3 weeks. |

Jr, You seem to have since changed the address back again, on the 22nd? I’ll be passing your details along all the same, but do please post and let me know as soon as possible if you don’t plan on now keeping them as is for now. :) Yes, I changed the address back again and i want to keep this address and will not change it again, if this is what you mean (I'm a Kraut sry) . Thank you :) |

I've changed my email recently aswell. Still waiting for that invitation, 63+ months of gametime paid and people with 2010 accounts are receiving invites before me? I wouldnt mind if you stated it was random, but it was said that account seniority affects the invites...

Elowy, No guarantees that the change will have affected anything for you personally, but I’ve made a note of your details all the same. :)
Deathaari, It looks like your email change was back in December last year so I shouldn’t imagine you’ll experience any issues as a result of that alone. :) Fiznik, It’s a little difficult to provide specific comment about a situation that may have arisen concerning another player’s account (as I’m obviously not able to give out any information on that side of things). However, it’s certainly true that we’re not able to manually add players into the Beta, even at a Senior level, so if this was done then my personal suspicions would point towards the Senior representative having added the player in question as one of their “Friends and Family”. This is obviously pure speculation on my part, but is probably what I would have tried to do if faced with an apparently isolated case. You’re obviously still welcome to try going through the same route by sending a mail to WoWconcernsEU@blizzard.com if you’d like, as the above could still be completely wrong! >.< Jr, That’s exactly what I meant, and thanks for the confirmation – it’s just so that I can make sure the details I have here are accurate. :) Taake, I’m afraid we can’t really make any official statement as to how the invitations are being sent out, but your email change certainly does fall within a possibly dangerous period of time, so I’ve taken your details also. :) Wanyala, Hopefully you’ll understand that it’s not something I can confirm for you (indeed, it hasn’t even been possible to confirm that the issue has been affecting anyone that wasn’t from the original wave of invitations), but I’ve noted down your account information too and will add it to my list. :) |
