Mostly an info thread about the future into the next expansion

Recruitment:

4.3 - Warlock, Warrior Prot, Priest SP, Holy/Disc
MoP - All classes

Raiding:

4.3 - We will stop raiding (progress) in May '12 if we do not get any more people into our raiding team. About 4-5 people will either quit/stop or have a break until MoP is being released.
MoP - We will once again aim high on the server for the next expansion. We are looking for people who want to make their next 2 years count, and we are going to set up teams for running dungeons, helping each other out getting their characters ready as soon as possible for raiding after they hit 90. You pick your main (or new main) and we expect you to know what you are doing with your class after the changes in MoP.

We really wish to resurrect Eternal Gathering on Doomhammer. It have been a hard time for EG this expansion, and we're looking forward to a new start in MoP. No one want EG to die.


Community:

Old and new members can stay in touch with us in a whole new way in MoP.
We have just created an Twitter and Facebook page for Eternal Gathering, which will be updated with new information about kills, achievements, milestones reached, blogs and recruitment. Our Twitter account will not be interactive, only a source of information. Easy for raiders to know what we are aiming for this evening or if it gets cancelled, Notd (Noob of the day) will be announced after each raid, new members joining the guild or people leaving, people obtaining legendary items/rare mounts (boss drops, 1% drops or world drops), people reaching exalted with a new faction (only raiders and social players aka no alts), new recruiting info, if we having an live stream, and probably more.

Facebook (timeline is perfect for us, and we will be having a picture for nearly everything) will be used for posting boss kills/progress, new legendary items or rare mounts, info about new raiders joining the main team, recruiting info, blogs, new class/raid changes and weekly summary.
Facebook is still being put together, and it will hopefully we ready by tomorrow.
We wish to connect people and names with milestones and old kills from back in the day, so if you remember who attended progress kills etc, we'll appreciate that. It will be "fun" / "nice" for old and new raiders to go back on the timeline and get more info than just a simple "25-m Mimiron kill"

Forum
We will still be posting our recruitment info on the forums aka we will continue to use the official server forums and not only use Facebook and Twitter.
The official guild forums will not get affected either, we will still have it up and running as before, in the future too.

We really hope that we can connect with other guilds on Doomhammer if they also have FB pages, if not, we really suggest you ask your guild leader to make one for your guild, so we can keep in touch in the next expansion. (There is alot of guilds which have incredible weird websites and some are hard to find or search through)

I would like to see someone make a sticky post about guilds Facebook/Twitter/Website links, if someone would be so kind making one.

Why don't you simply make another guild? I think alot of people on DH really don't care anymore (which is a shame, as EG was always a pinnacle guild). That's kinda the problem really, I have the utmost respect for you and over/hyper, trying to rebuild the EG name after the shafting events of before, but unfortunately, until it becomes YOUR guild, you'll never escape the turmoil of the past.

Why not just go back to Urban Cohort, instead of trying to make a guild that has the unfortunate problem of being Altaria's personal bank guild. You guys clearly have what it takes to be a success without some alt being in charge of your guild.

Alot of old EG members are still in touch with each other outside of Facebook, but with all the crap that happened with Altaria and the various emo, I doubt you'll get much raised there.
