My one-armed knight, Ellern Silverwolf, demands to be recognized. One simply does not play a cripple for a year and not see his share of dramatic events!
Here's his AA: http://www.argentarchives.org/node/95519 "I have seen and done many things, Felian, but my memory carries the scars as well as my body." |

Just a question as I might simply be missing the actual point of this project; are these series for people who have actually made a difference server-wise, or is it based on how well known/populair people were?
Because I see a few names there of people who are no doubt all great players, but haven't contributed more to the server/had more influence on the server than any other character, and there are a few names not on that list who were involved in some server wide events and did have some influence on the server as a whole. You know, whos names you'll hear and you're like "Oh, Sylmarien! I know who that is, has ran a few projects for Deathknights right? Started the Conclave of Quel'Thalas as well on another char" or "Acrona! Everyone knows who Acrona is, she has organised a lot of memorable events" or "Innatus? Responsible for some cultist related events!" (As examples) Like, on what grounds are these people picked? |

Oh, I'm afraid I've got no clue on how to make a Machinima, but I can pass on my Argent Archives page.

They were there in the past and formed the first AD alliance community that RPed in Stormwind, specifically. The Shield of Light, Stormwind City Watch, The Stormguard and the others mentioned. I think you missed the point being that the characters chosen were famous back then and not now. Those people you mentioned organised events recently, or some of them. Also I don't know who Sylmarien is :P |

Acrona didn't, though. My point still stands, a few on that list really didn't do anything out of the ordinary- so why they are "famous" and deserve a notion over a lot of other roleplayers is just something I personally don't understand, which is why I asked if someone would clear up how people are chosen. Another example, Jhenevieve surely was quite famous. She's not on the list. |

Is it just me or did this debate rage on a few months back, when something similar (a painting or something along those lines) was proposed?
"Who is most deserving of this and this, and why" - that sort of argument? |

I don't want to come across as the cynical !@#$%, but it just all seems incredibly biased, which is maybe why I'm not really a big fan of projects like this- regardless of how good the intentions of them are.
If that makes any sense. Edit: To make it clear, I'm not telling you not to do this! Those are just my thoughts on it. |

Watched the teaser, read the post, hoping you're going to turn the boat around. It could be a great idea but as is it's just free e-peen rubbing for the people who make the most noise.
"Role players have strived to leave a mark and gain acknowledgement." Bah. Those are exactly the people who don't need a movie made of them. Of course, there's a chance you'll be able to pull it off in terms of the story, which'd be nice to see I suppose. In any case, it's your project and you'll go about it as you see fit. Expect a lot of drama over who should be in it and why. Good luck! |
and
That being said, I always enjoy a well constructed machinima with WoW. E-peen stroking or not, I will certainly look forward to viewing the final product of your labor. |

Just a question as I might simply be missing the actual point of this project; are these series for people who have actually made a difference server-wise, or is it based on how well known/populair people were?A myriad of different reasons, including influence. Some of them may have not been server-wide influencials but have had their part in setting an example for role playing standards. I'm well acquainted with Acrona, but I'm not sure about Sylmarien. I suggest you look up the thread "Who would you nominate for a movie". It's a huge thread that pretty much contains all the points you've made and more, and how we've addressed them. I can guarantee one thing: Not everyone will be satisfied. I'm realistic enough to believe in that. However, I do believe in trying. |

could http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2868764790 YOU - are telling - ME?! :p Its all good. I wanna make one thing clear while I'm making this project. The fact that I'm including a lot of characters (such as Amarae and Eragorn) who are infamous in some perspectives should signify that i don't care what social circles think about each other. In friendliness or hate, together, the characters have brought together stories. That is the whole point of this project. |

With all due respect, has any major research actually been carried out by anyone not biased to the cause of voting for their friends and idols? All I'm seeing here is the same old batch of role-players who are praised constantly simply because they made events that mostly catered to the biggest and loudest crowd within the Argent Dawn community - namely the myriad of human role-players.
I also find it troubling that the vast majority of names brought up are from the Alliance side of the fence. I suppose it highlights the glaring issue of the Horde side being 'forgettable' to many players here. |
