Is fury really that bad?

Is it really that far behind as raidbots claims it is?
Personally i didn't see a difference in dps when i did two heroics, one as arms and one as fury. Both heroics i seemed to average around 21k dps. So is fury really that bad? Or do i just suck at arms? Edit: My gear is rather terrible so i understand if you think my DPS is low, I also find both just as fun as the other. |

I personally think that people overestimate the gap between Arms and Fury, but as I'm part of Team Fury I may be biassed.
Play whatever you find fun. If a lack of DPS is causing a problem in Heroic Dragon Soul, then you might need to switch to Arms. |

To be frank, you're just probably not that great at Arms right now.
Since 21k is pretty low. And yes, Fury is that bad currently. |

I play fury for long time with good gear and i do each boss in dragon soul heroic around 40-45k and can reach 50k
and when i change to arms with same gear of the fury only change reforge to get best stats, i do each boss heroic(DS) around 30-35k i don't know why it's happend that arms it's better i do low dps then others warrior i see that doing 50k each boss heroic with same gear like me. |

If you have played Fury for a long time, and never Arms, it's no wonder you can't DPS with Arms, you can't the spec. And theory is different than practice. Learn arms properly, and you start outdoing your Fury parses. |

fury is far behind arms now at any raid scenario. dont mesure fury vs arms dps in 5 mans where you burst on boss for 40 sec - 1 min, fury has stronger cd's...
yes it is that bad |

I play fury for long time with good gear and i do each boss in dragon soul heroic around 40-45k and can reach 50k sorry your talking bull!@#$, if you did 50k on ultraxion 25 HC u would be world top 20 for fury warriors. and you have 2 heroic kills... most likely 10man since no one has the balls for 25man these days. you clearly dont know how to play arms based on those numbers, however I shouldnt trust them as you are clearly pulling them out of thin air. to the OP arms out performs fury hands down, it has way better AoE and has higher single target dps, it only falls behind fury on anything that requires 20-30s burst (spine heroic till about 10% nerf). I play fury now in our raids as I enjoy it more then arms as it requires rage management rather then a boring clunky macro heavy rotation like arms. but during progression there was not option but to play arms. fights like ultraxion hc, warlord hc prenerfs arms warriors were so critical due to their sick damage. with a prepull mastery set and as DS gets nerfed more and more, the fights will get shorter and the uptime of deathwish will get higher, as this happens the gap will close, but I cant see fury pulling ahead ever. but this is just my opinion on the subject, but the logs speak for themselves. |

Still wonder why Blizzard pulled the 5% fury dps nerf, did they ever try to explain why.

I agree that heroics aren't very representative of dps. Some of the boss fights can be ridiculously short and thus you're only testing your burst dps (something which Fury is good at). You're better off running LFRs to test it out.
Going by raidbots.com, which averages all the logs from World of Logs, on normal mode Arms is higher by 3-4k on average per boss, and even more on heroic modes. |

With the exception of Ultraxion Arms is massively ahead atm. On ultraxion I'm quite sure 55k is breakable for fury as well but seeing that our rogues are selfish *censored* and we-d don't have an unholy dk to boost my e-peen my best result has been just over 51k.
Seeing that I didn't have my current trinket/shoulders and that I'm still running LFR chest and normal head (and missing nokaled heroic) I'm quite curious to what our maximum is. Perhaps 60k is in fact manageable (if I get the same buffs as the other top ranked guys). Feels kind of bad that on every other fight I'm not even close to arms though :<. |

I played SMF all the way at level 85, and FL days were just the best.
After the nerf tried out TG, and only got a minor improvement, in DS I eventually went Arms (I tank most fights and go DPS on single tank bosses), and my DPS jumped easily by 4-5k. So yeah, I can tell you, that Arms is way better than Fury be it on single target bosses or AoE fests. |

The absolute best specc for ANY class is.....
What you enjoy playing :) Me for example i have always been fury, never ever cared about how gimped it has been (according to people) but i really wanna rip my hair out when i play as arms.. I find it so, incredibly dull :) But i do fair DPS in a group/raid as fury.. And survive longer then an arms warrior in pvp.. So i like my fury :) |
