Hello, I am looking to choose a class which has high dps in a pve environment whilst being easy to play. what class/specs do you reccomend?

oh and i want to be caster dps. :)

currently i'm undecided between Warlock and Mage, since i both have characters at level 20, but can't choose which one to use.

warlocks are infinitly harder than arcane mages m8 :)

just curious....do you need it for your next bot program?

I mean most people would ask what class is actually FUN to play or give a challenge or is different yet you ask for easy.....wonder what you intend to do with it and botting was the first thought.

Caster... hmmm. Well priests are good if u play them right. Loads of things say mages (All specs) are good. but the best thing ever has to be a rogue. All instants, requires no skill at early lvls. and awsome.

Basically same on any, mash 2-4 buttons

If you know the class and spells any class can be easy and get high dps.
After spec score then. Fire mage is on tope with Shadow priest just behind it.

Ret pala is pretty easy, but since you want a caster, go for arcane mage.

You don't want an easy class if you're just using it for DPS in raids.

Raid DPS is incredibly boring. You have a rotation, and simply time button presses, little to no reaction.

Infact, the most difficult part is ensuring all your gear is correct and stuff.

PvP however is another matter, but I'm clueless as to where to start.

Personally, if all you want to do is DPS, pick a class that can heal or tank too.

You will welcome the change in gameplay at high levels, rather than regret that you picked a pure DPS class (my mistake. hunter first 85, now I hate DPS =P)

Skullshatter. out of 23 dps specs tell me how many of them use rotations.

If you want the easiest class (spec) than arcane mage is for you. But think about one thing: arcane mage is the most boring spec i've ever played (even tbc frost was little more interesting ;) )

@Skullshatter you played hunter and hate dps, my first character was mage. Then I tried most of the WoW classes and return to mage. Everything depends of player, one is bored by "simply dps", another finds fun in cc his class offer, and the next one wants only dps and dont even remember about another skills than "huge damage"/"small damage" ;)

Why does everyone say arcane mage???

Fire is much dummer and easier to preform well
Go take arcane to hc fights in DS and try to match a fire mage

in skill required to do top potential DPS Frost=>Arcane>>>>>Fire

Combat Rogue. Should be pretty easy to master. ^^

But since you're after a caster I'd say Fire or Arcane mage. :>

Demo warlock is extremely easy to maintain high dps with.

Elemental shaman is high dps, mind numbingly boring though, so probably the challange level you're looking for.

Not as easy as the other dps classes/specs, though.

arcane mage

im no expert on them but afaik you can reach 90% of arcane mage potential by mindlessly spamming AB and throwing in some arcane power/mana gem and arcane barrages every now and then.

that last 10% is probably gonna be hard tho.

Its not WotLK any more, in comparison to a lot of other classes ret palas are difficult to get decent DPS out of.
