• Info letter III: The Borderlands Campaign •
It's not manned by anyone. The Horde outpost there is broken, but the Alliance has not formally established its own - and cannot establish one in this campaign. That means, the Thoradin's Wall remains a contested area until the end of the campaign. Both armies can move through it. |

A truly awesome meeting was held in Dun Garok for the Alliance Commanders. I'd like to thank everyone who was there, both officers and regular soldiers! It felt like a -real- strategical meeting, what with us pouring over maps and with a roof over our heads, for once :D
(Former meetings were fun too, but this one was -truly- awesome!) |

I had a map the size of the carpet and I used my sword as a pointer stick.
Of course it was awesome. |

Oh hell yes. Making RP'ers agree is like herding cats - specialties you can use to control people without anyone else helping are -stupidly- powerful. I keep expecting the nerfhammer to fall, but that may just be the paladin in me showing. Quick to Waywatcher: How do you resolve the conflict when both Horde and Alliance go for a mission? Who gets to do it, are IC numbers the deciding factor? And since one of the units involved has a lot of people on holiday -- can they even take part in a mission if they don't have at least 5 people online? Is the minimum for everyone combined, or per unit? EDIT: Also, very late at night, Tarren Mill was hit by a few random PvP'ers. Blackguard and Bladesong fought 'em off and stalked them a while, till they waved and portalled out. Quite a fun random encounter. |
Truly awesome picture, Ordgar! With your permission, I will certainly use this in some report!
If both Alliance and Horde units try the same mission the same week? Then the defining factor of who gets to try it first would be a) who gave their deployment report first, and b) who's camped closer to the mission location. One faction gets to try first, and if it fails, the second one can get its try after them. |
The Deployment Report for Week 3 is up now, and can be found here: Until midnight tonight, guys. Make your report. |

Thoroughly enjoying this campaign, still. Gillawyn and the rest of the Blackguard have been absolutely brilliant and we've hugely enjoyed our interaction with them.
Be excellent to each other. |

Everyone is leaving for Durnholde tho. It will be fun there. There will be elves. And undead. And other people. And they will hate each other just as much as they hate the alliance. It will be fun there.

Good. Then I am claiming the big bedroom in Tarren Mill when you guys shuffle on over. There is eeuuhm. A graveyard you could take. I guess. Maybe. |

It's not all bad, the Forsaken are very reasonable and hospitable! ...we're doomed, aren't we. |

Important Message!
As you may have realised have the Crimson Dusk been a bit docile the past few days. This is because our leader Adaeron's internet got blasted to the nether a few days back, which is highly problematic. HOWEVER am I going to write his reports for him while talking to him personally over the phone and the likes. He nor I myself are aware of when the internet will return but untill then I will react as a temporary speaker on his behalf. I do encourage you all to proceed as earlier regarding the Crimson Dusk, for we will act as anytime during this period and we plan on a steady advance in RP like planned. I will see to finding the form for the weekly report wherever it may be found (Don't worry I'll find and fill it out). So if you got a message for Adaeron, send it my way and we'll look at it! Best regards Adaeron, Wardell & The Crimson Dusk |
Excellent. Every guild leader should have a good right-hand man for situations like this.
Missed this earlier, but I answer to it now. The minimum is per unit. If your unit doesn't have 5+ people in the beginning of the mission, it cannot be formally participate the mission. If roleplaying reasons call the scraps of the unit to assist another unit, they could be there IC, but they would not be allowed to roll. A campaign mechanic. Originally there to prevent ridiculous 2-man units flocking the campaign and flooding my mailbox even with a larger load of deployment reports (which is already considerable, I can tell you). |

Of course be my guest and do with it as you will. |

The minimum is per unit. (...) I suspected as much, that pretty much cinches the plan -- thanks, I'll relay that. Also, if you need hands for the next campaign, consider me volunteered. This simcraft aspect is adding whole layers of awesome, as well as brilliant roleplay of what would otherwise be completely made-up tactics -- this way, paying attention actually pays off. My guys are loving it, and spending at least an hour each night IC over a map trying to keep track of our guys and outmaneuver the Alliance. |

I wish to apologize to the three or four forsaken who chased me out of Durnholde last night when I didn't have my PvP on. I apologized to Ardmoro via my Horde character but I forgot the names of the others.
If it's any cancellation, Aedisian was coughing for a while due to the blight bombs. And he hurt his leg badly when he fell from the wall. D: Sorry once again! PS. Love taking part in this campaign as a dwarf! :D |
