DPS ninja's looting tank drops.

I find it really annoying when plate and cloth dps wearing character's win and need items that are not for their spec. Three times now the Girdle of Lost Heroes has dropped and been ninjaed by 2 pally's and a warrior when I have tanked the End Time Heroic using the LFG tool, and I have also lost rolls on the Cloak of the Royal Protector and the Annihilan Helm in Well of Eternity. In my opinion the loot rolls should be need-able only by the spec it is more beneficial for. I always pass if someone needs on an item even if I need it for my off spec. It would be a more enjoyable game if people done this. As for the cloth dps, it is usually the priest healers that need the mage gear and although this doesn't affect me I still think that my opinion should apply in this case as well, the same goes for Druid Healers with OS feral needing on rogue drops... Something should be done. End of rant.

Because it's a huge problem.... That can be easily sorted by implimenting exact same addition that was given to LFR. |
so every times something frustrates me i should write it in forums to share my pain with all the players ? i wouldnt have time to play this game then :) |

Happens the other way around, buddy. The amount of times my melee dps toons have had stuff "ninjaed" by tanks... Oh, but that's allowed, because they're tanks and special snowflakes.

I say this as someone, who started raid MT-ing with DS 4-5 weeks ago. I was kind of afk-hero prior that. There's not a single bit of loot you actually NEEEED.
The cloak you can buy from PvP since there's one with mastery (and you buy one with valors anyway!), one of good belts is from valors, but you can use dps item alike and reforge bigger stat into mastery and stick fractured gems all over the dps items. PS! You do not even have remotely enough mastery to use puissant gems yet or stamina trinkets. 1st do read up the items and stats you need, then write post about loot rolls lost. |

It's not against Blizzard's looting policy therefore it's 100% fine.

But I thought you said "Ninja" in the title... this is not ninjaing, it's called "gearing your offspec"
Just... no... both of these classes can tank, it's non ninjaing. http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/ninja-looting-blizzard-s-stance
There is no such thing as "mage gear"... and besides, gearing offspec comes to mind (again)
Yeah, people need to wake up and stop being so greedy. They played their part in the dungeon, gear dropped that a) they can use, and b) they actually need, so they rolled. The only issue here is you are so greedy you feel you deserve the item more than them, even though you both did the same amount of work and had an equal shot at the reward. |
