My friend and I are leveling together, he a Restoration Shammy and I a Blood Death Knight.
We tend to be jerks if the rest of the group is as well. We're about level 76 now, and when we enter dungeons we're quite nice. If the DPS is ninjapulling we kindly ask them to leave that to me. If they won't listen we simply continue and leave the puller to die. It's always great to listen to their crying afterwards. |

I tanked Deathwing normal in my protection spec with holy gear on (Both my transmogs were the exact same for each set) and lived. Reminds me of when I tanked Deathwing on LFR (ages ago) in bear form... but moonkin spec. On my guild TS, I said: "Do you think the people will notice when I summon treants?" Guildies almost pissed themselves laughing. We wiped... but not because of me, luckilly. So I had a chance to respec for the next attempt... |
All I can say to that Azriyel is... nice, nice. If they think thats bad, actually knowing the fight *shudder* they should have been there last run my druid did. We had 5 healers instead of the usual 6, with 1 resto shaman actually being elemental. Not a big deal really, considering the damage in that fight? Not quite, not only is my resto gear terrible, but the tank didn't turn the boss at all, so we constantly got hit by the drain. I've done mistakes on believing mechanics been different than they are. Even LFR ball actually has logic. Its still randomish, but I now know how to make it bounce faster on my dpsrs so the other tank could just dps if its for me. And I am not all knowing, and I know next guy may be clueless duck - but EVERYTHING can be explained without naming in my opinion. And that's what is wrong in PUGs (be it tanking, dpsing or healing). Soon as you do a mistake : your IQ is less than shoe number, your class should be deleted and if not else then your realm or guild definitely sucks. For that story from your friend, happened to me too. i solo in my dps gear and and iddle in it. And had time for next event with guild and thought I could tank one dungeon quickly. Zoned in my dps gear, having that 137k HP and healer said : FFS DK tank. Likely looked at my HP, my class and my sword that melled dps and left. Other dps was like "what was that?" - next healer we got was in blues said it was his 1st heroic and I am sure I ende dup healing more than he did, but I loved that guy - fresh, but had even green gems on his gear where he was able to stick gems. temprary gear sure, but he was so positive and whole party had great time. I guess DK tanks just have the reputation equal to hunters from vanilla :) |

I think I'm gonna need to key bind a macro to Alt + N that says "%t just ninjapulled! What a <CENSORED>!I ain't helping him!" - for both my tank and my healer... I don't mind mistakes and understand that I sometimes get caught off-guard by a mob, and will help the DPS if it was my mistake, but when tanks just ninjapull left right and centre it makes me want to put my head through my keyboard... and it's a gaming keyboard FFS...

My friend and I are leveling together, he a Restoration Shammy and I a Blood Death Knight. This is exactly what is going on with myself and a friend currently, except he a Paladin and I a warrior, level 25 currently. We've already had our share of ninja-pulling DPSers, pala's in Righteous Fury while doing DPS, people not allowing me to get aggro as a tank before nuking... the usual stuff. I usually ask ninja-pullers if they'd like to tank the instance but surprisingly, that doesn't often stop them, so my friend will let them die. They learn fast enough. |

me being the top dps in well of eternity... on the trash after the crit buffs... seriously the last 5 dungeons ive run ive been top on single target dps... honest to god dps is really beginning to fall short lately...

This little tale took place not long ago (last night). After I had not been online since last week due I was away I thought I speed on the process before resets top do some tanking on my warrior so joine quee did
First Well of Eternity went well other then the mage seemed to be in a hurry ninja pulling. I didnt care and with luck did the dungoun with no fatalities untill at last bosses the mage said I sucked and asked did I get my char in Ebay...my replay to the mage...mayby you should stop ninja pulling. After that killed boss with no deaths...ohh and the hunter in the group...he had no idea how to MD...seriusesly...on my main huntress I spam it all the time. Right second Well of Eternaty...killed first boss and trashed went fine up to the Azhara fight. In my ignorance I thought people knew how to interrupt. Happent....hmm think 4-5 times we all got tranformed into puppets even as DK and me explained the tactics. I was busy keeping the mobs of the healer most of the fight even as I spammed every possible taunt I had...but alas...we got transformed into puppets. Well random druid left the party...cant blame him, but I wanted to finish the dungoun and might have this time to charge at Azhara to save us all. A paladin took the druid place...right...now hear this...he was wearing shield...blue items..think I saw a green item, but what made me "cry" was he was wearing a cloth helm and leather gloves both epic ones is it just me or is that cheating. I had no choice to report him for that. Even so I saw the party was doomed anyhow and for my own sake and mental health I left and went to bed shortly after I cuddled with my guinia pigs to make me feel better ^^. Sorry my English is not native toungue. |

Seeing as how 80% of all people who run the random dungeon finder are complete idiots, i interrupt the cast myself always. Just focus azhara and create a macro that charges your focus target and then hit pummel. Easy stuff. |

I have yet another rahter short thou story
LFR tanking Ultraxion...one wipe due my buddy tank who missed to press the button. It was a minor mistake and we carried on with the next..some dps problem, but managed to kill the mean emo dragon. Blackhorn/hoof what ever. Went pretty well. Spine how ever I have never taken the large ad and asked the Dk tank if I could do it. I know the tacs very well so there should be no problem. I grapped the big add as soon as it was up and got it positioned where it should and just waited I should take a little walk with it. But no...the encounter I thought would be so easy turned out to be a nightmare...some random douche started to kill OTHER tencales and now I saw...2 more large add on my screen...ohh dear I thought. Keeping my head cool I taunted my own add to keep away from the others who where almost ready. In some way even with both me and my buddy tank died once and got battle ressed the pugs managed to beat the encounter...now comes the weird part. A random douche..think it was a healer complained me and my buddy tanks lack of tanking skills. And its been the same since Ultraxion me thinks who whined. My buddy tankie and me agreed he was just some random kid on a rampage There was some "discussion" back and forth these 2 and then came the damm spamming dps meter...on SPINE...seriusly...the fight is more of control, its messy, but not a dps race I said. Even up to that I know even as I have not tanked LFR and normal many times I have done, I have the experince from a dps point of view of the mechanics of the fights. Hold on....why did Stormwind suddenly appear on my screen...did I just get kicked cause I did MY job the right way? ...did I get kicked cause the idiots agreed with this idiot? All the way I had good fun communication with the other tank agreeing who did what and went pretty well and stood up for me during all the encounters and suddenly this. had few mistakes, but that was it...Kids these days raging over nothing at all and want everything handed to them on a silver platter as the proverb/saying goes. Are we tanks now being kicked doing the job right ??? Edited cause it was late when I first posted. English is not first langauge. |

Usual LFR stories..
1. Cocky MT/OT tanks, who wisp me 'dont worry ill handle it' when i inquire how many stacks would they like me to taunt them off or which impale should i take.. then i die to 7 stacks on yor apparently because they are not aware they can taunt it off.. How i survived on 2 impales on my single madness kill i dont know... Same story for focused assault. 2. Gogogoers, who pull in the second blackhorn/spine are down... probably they think 2 or 3 pvp geared healers are enough to survive . And i always dread saturdays and sundays... it seems all healers with 80k mana, full pvp crafted gear or half tank/dps gear are flocking to LFD during the weekend... usually i end up first on dps list with 12-14k on those days :( |
Focused Assault can be avoided entirely on LFR. If you ever take it in the face you're not paying attention (*cough* guilty as charged *cough*). |

I've usually had it pretty easy... but my worst tanking experience was probably in normal Utgarde Keep in WoTLK where we had an underlevelled healer and a mage who'd spam AoE before I could even pull. Normally, I could just try to make the best of it and put up with it... but the fact that both of these people happened to be complete asses made it that much more worse.
Long story short, I could barely keep aggro against that insane mage who blamed me, healer oom'd every pull and also blamed me for having crappy gear (when I was defence capped...? they didn't believe me though). And when they found out that I was a female player... the insults only got worse. Amazingly enough, I was never kicked. Probably should'a left, but I just ended up putting up with their sh*t for the entire run. It's put me off tanking though ever since... :/ |

I think I've been very very lucky, I only get a bad group once in a blue moon and even then the chances that their crap is aimed at me has been slim. Not saying in the slightest that I am better than anyone here that gets crap, just that the RNG gods seem to have be favouring me.

Got a story:
It happend yesterday, when i manage to clear my first DS normal run. I was solo tanking in madness. All went well, till the last platform (blue). So as the first Impale landed, i used my Shield Wall, so i don't get blown to crap. But apparently the DPS was to low to kill it before the 2nd impale. I used Last Stand and cooldowns that don't even help since my Shield Wall was on cooldown, and my gear isn't much to brag about either (ilvl 390 equipped). So i died. Then all of a sudden this hunter enraged at me, telling i don't know crap how to tank, that i'm very bad and that they should replace me. Funny thing about him he did only 16k DPS. So i asked him to stop raging, because i couldn't do crap. He replied to either kick him or kick me, so they kicked him. So, then i wispered to him that my Shield Wall was on cooldown, used every other cooldowns i have and that he should've done more DPS, so i wouldn't have to eat the 2nd impale. That stuff hurts especially with the 100% debuff. Then he started to brag about how he have a 2400 rated retri paladin, tier 2, challanged me for a duel to prove that i'm a noob and that crap like that, i don't give i damn about since this is not PvP we're talking about. Well, we manage to find a way better DPS and we downed it :). |

I join a random heroic for Satchel and got ZG, overgeared group, which all disbanded after the "mount" bosses. I requeue and get 3 very poorly geared dps and insanely badly geared druid healer with something like 70k mana. We head for the last boss, I explain tactics, dps try their best, but no matter what I did, the healer simply couldn't do the fight: he was oom even before phase 2 started, then kept standing in every meteor despite being asked to move countless times, wasn't moving with Body Slam and was spaming Regrowth which made him oom even faster. I think I'd never used so many cds on Jin'do before: healer was getting my LoH, Sacrifice, WoG heals and Righteous Defense on cooldown, but nothing could save him, and soon after - us. Needless to say it took much time for dps to kill the spirits, and the healer didn't even attempt to move when thousands of them were bashing him.
After 4 wipes with no improvement whatsoever I had to initiate a vote kick to get the place done at some point. |

Madness LFR
First attempt. I don't know why, but the second tank failed to stay alive when tanking the corruption. Not sure if it was him or the healers who were lacking. Me, being a bit too eager to go catform when not tanking (if you take the first impale as a feral druid you can go cat nearly 90% of the fight), wasn't quick enough to pick the corruption back up, so we lost too many dps to make it past the blue platform. Got a "probably boosted to heroic items" thrown at me from the other tank, before he left. I felt a bit guilty because I hadn't been tanking stellarly there. I made up for it though! Next attempt, someone pulled before the second tank could join, took both impales on three platforms, though by then most of the raid was dead, so I didn't even bother going to the fourth platform. Got that second tank and managed to kill him on the third go. |

i got an very nice story..
LFR ( obviously) at the start of the raid we are clearing the trash leading up to morchok the big mean giant boss. the other tank an warrior died despite the healers best efforts, leading to me solotanking he trash msot of the time. at that point someone inspects the tank and what shows? !@#$tard is only dressed in gray items form vendors yeah it was an bloody troll. so someone resses him and me and the healers prepare to kick him. and there of he runs straight for the boss. unsuprisingly he dies within 3 seconds leading to me tanking the boss alone, other dps start to fire away and the tank keeps demanding rezzes. the healers and me decided we wont give that %^-*tard any chance on the loot. so i stop tanking turn humanoid and 2 healers jsut kept healing me eventually i died of course still later then the !@#$ tank still. other dps try frantically to stay aive but jsut couldnt beat it so it is an wipe and me and the other healrs who decided to stop it get called quite some colorfull names. we kick the tank and try again managed to kill him as 1 tank and contineud the raid. |

Had a lovely time on my warrior tank in hellfire ramps the other day. Shaman healer I think, all well and good. Dps, 3 dks, from same server, 2 from same guild. I have never seen that many death grips in such as short space of time... Death and decays down before I even target mobs... Asking them to let me pull so I can at least get some starting rage generated the usual witty replies of l2p noob, you're just a burden etc.
Naturally it was all my fault when they died, aoe taunts on a 3min cd I think, and having no rage made it next to impossible to even try pulling anything off them. We had 1 in unholy spec, 2 in blood spec. I just gave up and hung back til they kicked me. Don't think I'm gona be picking that char up for a good long time, things like this make it alot harder to defend my class from people saying 'lol faceroll class' etc etc. |

I queued for random hc and got an instant one. The group had wiped on the last boss of Vortex pinnacle. I thought "oh nice, fast valors." Everyone else except one dps who hadn't released were running back.
When everyone else except one another dps were back there, Dragon Soul geared healer started "gogogo"ing me. I said that everyone isn't here yet and he answered that he's bored. I didn't pull but just stood there and waited for the last dps. He would've died if we had started the fight and the boss had done his big lightning attack. Healer took a few steps towards the boss and said the he'll pull and started counting. One sec before pull I left group. I hope he had fun in queue. :P ...hey, at least I didn't let him pull before leaving. |

...I might have broken my group in accident.
Got ZA. Wiped on Dragonhawk boss. I was supposed to release spirit but instead I left group. When I realised this I could no longer talk to them. If you're reading this, I am SO fecking sorry. Didn't mean to leave. xD /slaps himself |
