Why did you roll a hunter?
|
|
Well; I love ranged classes, and im not into the whole "casting"-thing.
*Traps *Bows/guns/bow *As i solo alot, a pet makes it feel "Less lonely" :P *Mail armor <3 *Mobility *The fact that i can play good, regardless of my gear being the most epic ingame (in PVP) * Projectiles feels so brutal compared to other attacks *Rogues dont stand a chance when i flare, trap, disengage and becomes immune to all attacks! >;D |

Initially?
I wanted a class that wasn't solo all the time. My husband and I signed up April 1st 2010 and while he took a bit of an interest with it, I wanted a class I could level on my own. So I chose a hunter cause I don't like being alone when I quest :P I love my hunter now and have never put her on the backburner since Cata came out...Wotlk was weak for my preferred spec. Now, I don't give a !@#$ and play the way I want to. :) |

Because my friend was logged out in Darnassus on her main when she introduced me to WoW on a trial account and told me to make a Night Elf Hunter because it was easy.
I'm still mad at you for this, Becca. |

My main used to be Warrior a class that i really enjoyed playing, then cata came i then felt my class had been destroyed, so i decided to try hunter and have not looked back since i thoroughly enjoy the class, i love the controll that mm has to offer.

Seriously, who wouldn't wanna role a hunter ? Love the class, always have, since I started playing late tbc! The taming/camping of rares, the pet aspect, the kiting abilities, the mobility, the fact that their skill cap is very high (talking pvp, have no clue in pve), there are just so many awesome things about it. Also, I'm pretty sure that if you look up "awesome" in the dictionary, it says "hunter in woW".
It's just the greatest class ever, love it:D |

I love bows..my favourite weapon type tbh. I have played on a Warlock and Death Knight until mid way through Cata and after several breaks I thought...Randolphe my friend...go with the bow and have rolled a Hunter for this reason.

I like pet classes. In the game I came from I played as venomancer - something between a lock and a hunter - and I enjoyed it very much (uses nature magic for poisons and curses while charming and using her pets like our hunter). As I played a light-armored version of her and utterly despised cloth, and didn't quite like the concept of locks demons, hunter was only a logical choice for me ;)
Also... a badass dwarf + a thundering boomstick + a roaring bear = <3 |

I like mine so far, i mostly play my paladin but rolled a hunter and enjoying it so far. I would like a spec without the pet though. Just a guy with a bow. No hate on pets but i would like to see a spec without one.

It was the only class I haven't played to max level. Been playing this game for way to long now; 6+ years.

Because they're OP and this is a 'one-class-game' (World of Huntards) aww yeah. I expect to see huntard nerfed to the ground in next patch. No, don't wait till MoP comes out, blizzard. Now go, nerf, nerf & nerf.

a) Frenetically, mostly non-magical, ranged attacks and mechanics
b) Pets, which bring some diversity to the gameplay while also providing some challenges, and a hobby by taming/collecting them c) The whole flavor of the class, both in a medieval-fantasy setup and in the Warcraft universe d) An alternative to what has been my main character since Vanilla - a Warrior - and what is usually my main choice in MMOs of the same genre, which is being a melee class. |

This is so BS :p Hunter aint an easy class to play proper and there is easier classes out there to play at a mediocre level. Unless we are talking about PVE then I can agree but then again PVE isnt hard at all.. |
I believe the thing with Hunter is that, it's the type of class that's really easy to play with, but very difficult to master. |

I rolled hunter , cause it felt that it fit the lore quite nice. The pet , the kiting , high skill cap etc.
I prefer bows than guns and im sure most people do. What would you prefer, to kill with a bow that is silent or a gun that shouts HUNTER HERE all on the hunter nau! Hunter is siposed to be a silent class after all , the closest to a rogue , ninja you can get. Thence camouflage. We are silent and stealthy , waiting for our pray to come to us and then strike with our serpent fangs! :D This reasons made me roll a hunter and ofc a rogue. Though I used to play shaman in tbc and enjoyed it but now not so much. Not cause they suck , as in tbc they were horrible xD Just feels right atm as hunter/rogue. Ferals are just wannabes btw :P |

Because Dwarf Hunter.
... and Danaik :> The dynamic and fast paced combat is what really gets me. "Ha, I have you now mr. Mage! Wha... sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t Rogue!" And how to come up on top ^^ = H = |
