Guardian druids in MoP.

First of all the new mastery is a bit meh, I like the current savage defence, use used well it can be almost as good as a shield. Secondly the talents don't look too guardian orientated, they seem to be more aimed at balance and feral cat.
I know it's beta and nothing is final but this is my opinion on the current state. thoughts? |

The mastery is just KING!!!!! end disscussion if you ask me we might even stack mastery gems when we have enuff HP.
About the talents is little big meh Wild Charge, Renewal, Typhoon, Depending on what Force of Nature is doing it might be a nice one ether Incarnation and Soul of the Forest depending on fight. Ursol's Vortex will be nice in dungeons. and the 6th tier is just MEH! |

I think the trouble with the mastery is it has a cap, something they said they didn't want tanks to have. Also the idea behind it is very dull, and it's not very interactive. But the actual value of mastery is high since being DR capped is awesome (and also something they said they didn't want to happen).
The talents are fun enough, some are plain mandatory but I can see myself using certain talents for solo'ing, raids or dungeons and depending on boss mechanics. (can you imagine dropping your stacks with those taunting treants?) |

Or do you mean the current SD on beta? If the latter; it's still RNG really, more like a trinket with a really small CD. Not too sure on it. I think I agree with the Mastery being a bit dull, but if they don't completely screw us over on it, it could be dull but very effective I guess. What I want to know is if they're actually gonna keep FRegen as is at the moment in beta, because I can honestly see a nerf incoming on that one! |

Force of Nature is meh as Gaurdian.
They taunt the target they are attacking, it's good if you need to pick up adds or something, but they die rather quick and when used on 1 boss that must not be moved... well let's say they move it and you might wipe. |

The new mastery is boring as hell. Armor is a great stat, but I preferred Mastery when it had some interesting and new mechanic behind it. Imagine that Mage mastery would just increase your spell power. Oh, how original would that be.

Mastery is the same for each class and now increases SP, AP or armor based on spec. Oh what awesome stats they are... but dull. |

This post confuses me a bit. Are you expanding upon my example? Because that is not how Masteries are in the beta. |

I was expanding on your example and having a bit of inner-rage of our mastery happening. But also trying to point out that even a boring stat will be stacked if it increases performance no matter of class/role. It was early leave me alone! I'm not even sure if the coffee had happened yet :(
Our mastery is boring is what I am trying to get at. |

Well bears always look boring at first look. A lot of passive stuff (armor cap and crazy agi to dodge ration in tbc, ridiculous health in woltk, high passive mitgation),
But they sure end up being a lot of fun when you play one.. |

Armor as a mastery seems nice at first glance, but as others have said, it has a cap. And, it also seems a little weird....
1) They let us cap armour (75% damage reduction) in TBC. This was happening cause green armour (extra armour) on gear and rings/trinkets/weapons also got effected from the Dire Bear Form multiplier. 2) They take that AWAY during WOTLK, in order to bring our armour in line with the rest of the tanks. Fair enough (I was pissed, but whatever) 3) Now in MOP, they're STILL not allowing Dire Bear multiplier to effect green armour, BUT they want us to go for armour through our...mastery? Boring, dull, yes, but it's gonna be a MUST, especially if they let us cap armour yet again. All I'm saying is that if they wanted us to cap armour, they can simply let Dire Bear multiplier work on green-armoured items and rings/trinkets/necklaces/weapons and give us a more interesting Mastery... |
