Also bring back all Gladiator drakes from S1-S10 and vanilla mounts, i didnt have the chance to get them all.

I don't think they should have removed them, but whats done is done. I doubt they will bring them back, then they would have to bring back loads of other mounts they have removed, too.

I personally would hate to see them back. Sadly I missed the chance to obtain them, but I always gleem when I see someone having something awesome that I won't ever get. The items that have been removed from the actual game are the only reminder we have of wow being a game in which there existed the idiots, the normal, the smart and the extremely capable. I think I would jaw drop if I saw any1 running around with Atiesh.

Showing respect to someone who achieved something is how this game should be anyways. Most people will probably never understand that feeling of seeing someone who was better than you, that's way more skilled and has proof to show that case is real.

This game used to be one for gamers! Wether pvpers or pveers, it was a game that had ways to unrelate each player from each other. There were those that were serious, those that played just for time to pass by. Right now It's a game for every single person to achiev what everyone else is.

If you only think for what you have, why don't you start thinking about what others have? It might make you a better person in the end.

People care too much about what other people have, dont really understand why.
It wont affect themselves, unless they have lack selfworth to the degree that other peoples pixels influences their enjoyment which quite frankly, is retarded.

It's called distinction by social scientists and it's a very basic human characteristic. If anyone truly claims to be utterly indifferent to "what other people think" of them, they are likely to be deceiving themselves or worse, are sociopaths.

It's obviously an illusion that we think we can be "unique snowflakes", as the saying often goes, but most of us are helplessly bound that desire anyway and will try to distinguish ourselves through different markers, semiotic or cultural such as clothes, taste (the right music, movies, art and so on) and the same pretty much goes for a game like wow.

Some people will try and claim, to anyone who will listen, how they don't care about the opinions of others, how they are "resting within themselves" or something to that effect, but that is just as much a way of trying to distinguish themselves. A way to be different from all the people that "don't get it".

It's a paradox too, because we often try to achieve distinction in order to position ourselves in opposition to those "not in the know" while at the same time desperately seeking commonness with others who also "get it".

Awful lot of jumping to conclusions here. The issue isn't whether things should be rare or not, rather that it's a bit of a double standard to take Black/Plagued out but leave Iron/Rusted, Icebound/Bloodbathed, Firehawks and the like in. At the core it's a matter of consistency. You can probably see the inherent logic flaw in Blizzard going "We want to leave the raid mounts in to give people an incentive to see those old raids... Except for T7, we took those out because you had your chance to get them, don't go back there."

Compare instead to Immortal/Undying, Champion/Conqueror of Ulduar, Tribute to Immortality - they have all been removed as the game progressed. That's consistency and I'm fine with it, even though we never got Immortal (failed in Kel'Thuzad's add phase once x_x).

I'm fine with content being removed from the game as long as it is: a) replaced by new content and b) there is given ample warning so that those en route to finish an achievement will have a little time to do so before it is removed.

It's nice to have some things remain so that you can still have some things to go for in the annals of the older content, but it's also fun when some things get removed, it makes it more treasured by those that have it and can act as a powerful symbolic artefact to other players.

Even though I never got either I'm glad they removed the Undying/immortal titles as they are SO freaking awesome and they would most certainly have become extremely common in Cata as the achievements would be dramatically more easy. Kudos to those that have them :)

It's hard to say what to remove and what not, but in general, I think keeping those in the game is overall better, and removing those 2 drakes from the meta, I mean they are not even close as awesome as Invincible, was just a mistake, to complete the meta it still requires people to work on it and to spend time and it keeps the old content interesting, which makes the entire game more interesting.

By looking at mounts like Invincible/Mimiron's Head I think it was the right decission to give them a very low drop chance, maybe slightly too low but still, they where introduced like beeing very rare mounts and I think that is as what they should remain.

It's true that it is unclear where to stop and I think they will never be able to please all. If they removed all titles/mounts once a new expansion and level cap came out then it would dry up the amount of possibilities for players.

I think as it is they have looked at two factors:

1: How cool a title/mount is
2: How easy it is to obtain today as opposed to when it was released

If a mount/title scores highly on both accounts, i.e. it is both very cool and now very easy to get compared to before, then it becomes something they consider removing.

I'm sure this is an extremely oversimplified analysis by the way :)

Everyone seems to be missing an important factor on how the Black Proto and Plagued Proto was obtained.

You had to complete the meta achievement which included the Immortal and Undying. Both achievements were back then kind of hard with the level of gear available. To me those 2 achievement rewards were the awesome titles and the mounts.

Those achievements have been removed and so were the mounts which made perfect sense since lets face it : Hardest achievements back then were these 2.

Any other meta that came with the other tiers have had no achievements such as these 2 hence still allowing people to farm the drakes even now. I remember Blizzard mentioning in a blue post that they wouldnt include any immortal type achievements in the metas after Naxx raider.

If you look carefully there hasnt been any Immortal type achievements in any of the metas since then. So to be fair people who earned those 2 drakes deserved them and those who didnt well it is just bad luck.

I personally farmed ZG raptor for years without missing a single reset but never saw it drop. I wouldnt want that raptor to be implemented again even though i dont have it now since it makes it special for those lucky enough to have gotten them.

And for all those wanting them to come back, how bout trying to get what already is in the game now instead of dwelling in the past.
