De-throning - "A Word to the Wise"
|
So Fallen went on a play break Autumn last year and since then it would seem that Blizzard introduced a facility called "De-throning" which essentially allows anyone in a guild who's GM has not logged in for thirty days to take control of the guild.
The regular raid group and myself decided to leave the socials in the guild in case they wanted to log in and use the benefits we'd decided to leave enabled for them whilst we took a break. So I get De-throned they invite a toon they have server moved from Sylvanus to the guild, empty the guild bank which had over 800 flasks and a few hundred thousand gold and then server transferred the toon back to Sylvanus. I know all this from the activity feed our guild website still has and from the guild and bank logs. If you go on a play break and you are the GM of a guild, it unfortunately means you have to kick anyone you can't 100% trust. |

Nothing apparently can be done
Nubka, Shortest and "mates" make off with everything we collectively gathered as a guild and it's apparently "ok" according to the first plebby GM I spoke to. Guess will just have to escalate it |

I can see it going either way in terms of getting the stuff back, so best of luck with that.
However, you really would have been without a paddle had they just moved the guild to another server; I believe a guild transfer is about the same price as moving a toon from one server, and then moving a character back. |

I find that offensive :< |
Never TRUST something you can eat :P |

been through it myself, you can't get anything back, even after 16 tickets. Same responses, apparently if the gleader went afk for like months you could ticket a gm to get control of the guild anyway, this was just suppose to make it automated dispite how much i hate it

I suddenly feel like eating steak... |

I was under the impression it could only happen from people who were ranked in the top ranks of the guild?
