Loot rules are irrelevant?

In the beginning of raid the loot rules were agreed on. It was said that mount is free for everyone to roll, and I even took a screen capture.
For my surprise the master looter stole the mount and I decided to make ticket, and the reply was following (screen captures included). I have seen some GM to post that if you agree on loot rules in beginning and they are not followed ... it is possible for the ninja looter to lose that item. Is this false? So there is no point in asking for loot rules anymore? |

Correct, this is a change of stance that happened a while ago to my knowledge. This is why masterlooter is very dangerous if you're playing with people you don't know.

This I haven't heard about at all. Is there anywhere you know I can read about these recent changes or is it just something you heard someone say and you're not really sure? For OP: Reading the reply from Blizzard it seems to me the lootrules weren't at all clear at the start of the run, and that is the reason they can't help you. |

Looting is this game is today:
If you can loot you are allowed to loot. Say and do what ever you want. But if you can loot you can loot and that is that. Earlier GM's did act on these things but not anymore. The reason is obviously that they rather spend the time on other things. Like laying off staff and keeping that profit. |

Yeah, because we have a quote of what was stated at the beginning of the instance from mister master looter too... at the moment we only have an OP's word for it, and why would a mount be -
Just a guess, but might be another one of them things where its worded (by lootmaster) so it all sounds fair and above board, but somehow, just, isnt! |

posting a screencapture singling out a specific person is against blizzards rules (in order to avoid taking heat for being lazy and ignorant to the missfortune brought upon the players by their actions, or rather the lack of them.) the SS would be removed (possibly the thread) and he would receive a warning regarding the forum rules. Now Spikesz, do you see the issue here?

It's certainly possible to quote what was said in a raid, or post a screenshot with names blurred out, on this forum without naming and shaming. In the past (starting from mid WotLK) clear lootrules have made it possible to report ninja lootmasters and have the loot in question removed from them. Without knowing what was said in this particular raid it's hard to judge if this policy have been altered recently or if the lootrules were just not very clear. To me it seems the rules were unclear, judging from the Blizzard reply. Whichever way it is there's absolutely no need to be so hostile when posting, it just reflects badly on you. |
Oh please, blurr the name of the person. Done. I'm not after names, just what had been said. |
