Can the Shark only be fished in pools in the Kaluak Fishing Derby?

At least what I read from Wowhead comments. It can only be fished up from fishing pool(s).

I see and the Stranglethorn Extravaganza. Can those 3 rare fished only be caught up in pools or can they be fished anywhere during the tournament?

You mean: Brownell's Blue Striped Racer, Dezian Queenfish and Keefer's Angelfish?

You can get all those from "Tastyfish" -pool(s) during the Event.

The shark can also be fished in inland waters.

Though the rate of catching a shark in plain waters is lower than that of catching it in a pool. This means that unless there is very heavy competition for the pools (meaning you have to fly around a lot) it is always better to fish in pools.
