So, until recently I was working on insane in the membrane on my second char. It's my favorite title and I enjoy long term projects in wow. Then, to my bemusement I read that avhievements, mounts and titles are going to become account wide in MoP. Now obviously the details aren't clear as of yet, but I'm curious to learn what other people think about this?

I can see how it would be nice for certain things, like raid achievements so we wouldn't have issues with "I only have 7/7 on my main" and so on. But with other aspects of the game I'm really worried about how this will affect me as a player. I've obviously ceased all activity on my 2nd "the insane" because if I'm getting it account wide in a few months, why bother? And that would really disappoint me to be frank. The same goes with mounts. If all mounts on any character become available on all character then it would dramatically limit the things I enjoy doing. Believe it or not I actually enjoy running in killing Skadi on four different characters in the hope of seeing that blue mount... The same goes for mgt etc.

So, how do you feel about some of these potential changes? :)

The Insane ain't hard anymore at all. :)

I dont welcome them. Thats a thing i still like with wow , Stuff grinded, gained, earned on 1 charakter should stay on one.

I like that there is a diffrence between my main and my alts.
the fact that they have done different stuff and i even like getting them on more.
It keeps my game going with that.

Now dont get me wrong. i do understand it when it comes to bosses cleared. Since everyone is asking for achivements on that charakter and rarly from a main/other alt.

but my rep, my questing, my proffesion, my pvp, my everygoddammed thing else i like to keep where they are . on the specifik char that got them.

And hell dont even get me started on mounts! xD..

I Also welcome these changes. Specificly the mount part.
Personally, I have both the old zg mounts, deathcharger's rein, raven lord, fiery warhourse, both brewfest mounts, and the halloween mount on an alt.

I understand ppl who say that they enjoy farming several bosses who drops mount, so do I, got raven lord on 3 chars, fiery warhorse on 2, and got all my money on deathcharger's reins, but when it comes to the mounts that you can't get anymore, it kinda sucks that they are stuck on the wrong char.

Kudos for the insane on your second char Dreader, but I'm pretty sure that blizzard har stated that they don't want reputation to be acc wide and its not even sure tittles will become acc bound even though I personally hope so.

Account wide mounts and achivements is a good thing imo, but not sure about the titels thing

Seriously. I spent half a year digging up the bug mount for my Warlock, only to find out that I don't like the direction Warlocks is taking in Pandaria so I'm switching over to my Paladin.

I'm not digging up another bug. I would absolutely love the account-wide mounts and achievements, it would make switching characters much more painfree. As long as dinging new achievements still occurs on new characters so the sense of actually getting them is intact, then bring it on a.s.a.p.

Blizzard said that pets are going to be acc wide at the launch of MOP, mount are considered to be added aswell in an upcoming patch after launch and that the achievements are something they plan to do. So the achievements part wasnt confirmed yet.

All this account-wide !@#$ is stupid. Why make alts if you already got all items/achies/titles on them?

Yeah pets are fine because of the new Pet battle system. I wouldn't want mounts, titles or achievements to be account wide.

However they could make a system where you get to send over mounts from one of your characters to another. Like those damn event mounts that always seem to want to drop on my alts instead of my main, sigh..

Me2, I like to farm achievements on 1 char, now can I PVP on my rogue get there achievments like Wreckling ball, since it is a bit hard as resto shaman to get that in PVP.

Although this is something I am very excited about, note that it has never officially been confirmed by a blue. There have only ever been a few posts in which a blue has talked about this:

First they said

While we’re still working out many of the details regarding account-wide achievement functionality, I want to clarify that we plan for the system to apply to all achievements -- not just those added in Mists of Pandaria. It’s intended to be an overall change to the current achievement system.

and then they later added

I want everyone to be a bit cautious about their expectations as of yet. We still have a lot of details to work out in regard to how this will all work. Once we have more specific information to share on it, we'll let you all know. I don't want anyone to get too far ahead on things until we can share more and explain any possible "ifs", "ands", and "buts" with you all should there be any put in place.

See, that's another problem. I've gotten two of the mounts I've been wanting for years on my Paladin instead on my Warlock (Brewfest Kodo and Horseman Mount), despite having done the events far longer and more often with my Lock. I even had my Kodo "unused" in my inventory and sent a plea to Blizzard if I could transfer it, as stupid as it sounds. I knew it wouldn't happen though.

Titles I'm fine without, as that's something that can be earned through consistent playing. But many of the mounts are pure, dumb luck. I don't even dare fish on any of my other characters, because if I'd get the turtle on anyone else but my Warlock...

Does it mean my Dk will get all those vanilla mounts, pets etc , achievents and stuff too ? :O

The first one is pretty clear on the matter. The question is only when and how they will impliment it. Also they already said they're planning to only hand out titles on the appropriate level. So no level 1 kingslayer.

This might just be their reaction to people making all kind of assumptions going out of control. I've just recently seen people saying they never even stated they planned to make anything like account wide achievments, will others said only the new ones would be account wide, also someone earlier said that it would simply add a new tab instead of giving the achievments to each character like it was a fact.

Edit, my opinion on this matter is that it's something I definitely want. I mostly see people with a high achievment number who only ever played one character complaining about it. I love to play a wide variety of characters and thus I've got all kind of achievments and mounts on on or another character.
I worked for said achievments, mounts and pets just the same they did. Yet for some obscure reason they're talking like these changes would "gift" me something and I would ultimately get something I don't deserve.

Definitely. I do not see how me raiding, PvPing, and so on on different characters makes it any different from someone else playing one character.
