I think it would be great if orcs had their own unique identity instead of being a copy of the tauren. Peaceful shamans should remain a part of orcish society (to avoid one-dimensionality) but they and their ideals should be in the minority, the bulk of orcish society are battle crazed warriors.

I agree that the orcs should at some point formally apologize for their invasion regardless if they were under demon influence (once Garrosh goes obviously). Still, I do prefer warmongerers to peacemakers.

Warcraft 1 lore HAD TO BE CHANGED. They built the entire game as Warhammer fantasy, until Games Workshop decided against, so they kept it and just said they came from hell. THERE IS A MASSIVE difference in the lore between Warcraft 1 and 2. Just check out the manuals.

Orcs do have inherent anger management issues, and do not have as many qualms about killing as many other races do.

The problem I see a lot of people make is they assume this is all the Orcs have - that they're nothing but bloodthirsty warmongers.

If we go by WC1 lore, then this is quite correct, but we've moved beyond that state, and for good reasons. The Orcs are aggressive. This does not mean they can never be calm. It does not mean they can not show reverence, trust, honour or justice.
It is merely one aspect of their character, and should never be treated as more than that.
