I have decided to upgrade my graphics card and Im looking for a gfx card that will play wow on high settings with direct x11 capabilities.
I thought that maybe the VTX3D Radeon HD7750 1GB Graphics Card would be a good choice however my knowledge on gfx cards is limited so if anyone could advice on a good gfx card to purchase id appreciate it. thanks |

A graphics card is dependent on a few things to run a game on a high setting.
Clock speed and memory don't matter when comparing cards. You can have a £50 card and a £500 card with the same memory and clock speed, but the former performs a lot worse than the latter. Depending on your board, getting a PCI-E 2.0 or 3.0 card would be a good idea. But you do need to spend a lot of money on one. When shopping, you want a PCI-E card with at least PCI-E 2.0 8x or 3.0 8x. 16x would be better, but 8x is good enough, more so if it's a 3.0 standard because there's more bandwidth available than on a 2.0 x16 interface. Consult your motherboard's manual or look on the manufacturer's site for specs and see if your board supports a PCI-E interface. The more memory the card itself has, the less that has to be stored in your RAM. Because, say you have 2GB of dedicated video memory on a card, it's that 2GB that's storing all of the textures and what the GPU is currently working on. It's really a question of how much you're willing to spend. And what you want the card to be do. The more expensive the card, the better it'll perform. It's that price for a reason. So, it really comes down to your budget and your current hardware. |

The best DX11 graphics card for under £100 at the minuet is this one.
6850 OC 1024MB GDDR5 £99.95 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-178-OK&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1866 But depending on how much of a boost in your FPS you would see depends on the rest of your PC aswell. |

You know that no gpu gets limited by the pci? Not one card can fill the bandwith of a 2.0 so its not realy a matter which you choose.
I would look for cards withatleast 1gb RAM. I personally have a 580 with 1.5gb RAM and only gta 4 have i noticed it has all be used. |

When i used to run with 2 6850's in CF i'd just turn one off when playing wow, its an old game and needs a 80 quid card to max it out.

If you're into gaming, I wouldn't go for the HD77XX series, as they're mostly suitable for media PCs. The HD78XX cards, on the other hand, cards seem to be the top dogs in their price bracket at the moment. How much are you willing to spend?
