With a Shield Or Without?

I made a shaman with Scroll of ressuraction :3 in three days i went 4 lvls :) im pve elemental spec ... but i dont see the point in having a shield a 2h stuff have better stats i think or im wrong i dont know what to do ? should i find a one-handed with a shield or keep the 2h stuff?

You need to use shield in PvP. It doesn't matter in PvE.

Like Eefa said in pve, you take what is best for you. Most probably the choice with more spellpower/intelect.
For pvp, you need resilience, therefore even Legendary staff is not option. When Legendary is out of the game, you should choose shield which gives you tons of armor too. |

In PvE it's not a whole lot of difference. Usually you can use a staff if you prefer. Whatever gives you more spellpower or intellect.

As prev posters have mentioned. In PvE it doesn't really matter, if a staff have better stats go for that one, but for PvP it is crucial that you use a shield, since you cannot loose the armor it gives.

i used a shield in PvE 5man's for a while, The agro level is huge for ele's if the tank does not play it well, same for LFR on ultrax. Rather drop my orange and pick a shield. tanks seem to die there
