[Spine 10 hc] - how to do the barrel roll? Bloods?
|

Hi everybody,
my question regards the handling of the Bloods during the roll before the 3rd armor plate. We are not quite sure how to handle the bloods correctly or how to position ourselves in an optimal way to remove the maximum amount of corrupted bloods. When shall we start nukeing the adds and whats the best way to pull the amalgations to NOT get 9 stacks before the actual barrel roll. We currently heal with a holy pal, holy priest and a resto druid and have all our cds saved for each roll. Would any experienced player be so kind to explain their strategy regarding the roll? (the roll leading to the 2cnd armor plate isn't that heavy beaus their are so few adds.) Do you kill the bloods fast on the 2cnd armor plate phase, or do you wait until you start to roll and then begin nukeing the !"§$ out of them? If you are a druid healer, how many spirit do you use for the fight? (the first two plates dont require a lot of spirit on gear in my opinion but i heard youneed quite a lot for the last phase, whats your number (please clearify if yourspirit is unbuffed and with or w/ trinket stacks from the spine trinket) Thanks in advance, Zille |

Hi Zille.
In my experience, when looking to "Mop up" the bloods in the transitional phase between downing the second plate and the first lift of the third, have our bloods stack near the middle left of the spine (As it stands at that point) we slowly nuke them down individually while our ranged dps down the corruptions. I (Amalgamation tank) tank them away from the raid, either above or below the current blood covered area (Sticking to the left side as we roll left in our tactic) as soon as a decent number of bloods are down you should call for everyone to stack (This should coincide with either the initial spawn of the 3rd and final amalgamation or a few seconds after it has spawned) You then in the remaining 3-4 seconds before he rolls, run them through the bloods getting as many as you can and roll them off. This IDEALLY would leave you with about 1-6 bloods, however we've done it with 12-15 up, you should be saving all your cooldowns for this part as you said you are, however, you should not (and I hope you aren't) AOE the bloods under ANY circumstances, this will cause them to explode for 10-15k raid damage and will quickly overwhelm your healers, have your dps single target them to regualte the damage. Hope this helps, Crux |

10 man lol... On a serious note, just kill bloods each after another.

My face: http://elektropopsicle.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/meme-are-you-kidding-me.png 2 tanks on 10, most 25's I heard go with 3-4 making it trivial. Anyway, in reply to OP we 'clean up' the bloods during roll phases. As soon as the plate pops the bloods are tanked in the middle next to the 'hole' we'll be stacking in, corruptions die and we stack up in the middle, nuke the living !@#$ out of them and pop Tranq/Hymn/Spirit link/Shield wall/divine guardian/rallying cry etc and then roll while continuing to AOE bloods. Pretty reliably gets rid of all of them, occasionally a couple left up. You need good healers though, as Cruxian pointed out it hurts when they explode, so 15+ exploding gets painful. It's intensive but perfectly doable. |

I heard,no bloods on last platform makes it trivial on 10 man. I also heard less dps req makes it trivial. I also heard 1 Searing plasma is 280k on 10 man on one person while it is 420k on 3 persons in 25 man raid, see difference? |
It's almost like they expect you take more than 3 healers in 25 man. How inconvenient of the game devs. |

yes but,1260k healing/5 Healers (Before nerf) =\= 280k/3 healers. |
