I'm not in any way some super pro warrior but whenever i encounter rogues there seems to be nothing i can do to even get them to half hp.

I barely get the chance to hit then and when i do it is either a parry or dodge.

You know you wont get the opener, so starting out with onehander and shield is a good idea.
Shieldwall as fast as possible, if the rogue opens with a burst, but dont trinket the kidneyshot. Save the trinket for the blind, so the rogue cant reset the fight.

Also: focus on using overpower and retaliation

those advices may have been good on wolk but now even if you start with shield it doesn't change much since rogue ignores almost all your armor and you can't shield wall while sapped or stunned means you are down below 50% in the opener vs decent geared rogue, and from then he has tons of cds to use to just face roll you and finish with 100% hp

Its just the way it is for warriors. They are not supposed to beat anyone. Blizz dont like them and they keep ignoring the problems.

No, if rogue is not handicaped there is no way you will win.
Keep the bleed on them but really, that won't change the outcome.

Trinket the cheap shot so they don't get a full kidney. Both are controlled stuns.

When they disarm you, you disarm them.

When they use evasion, use bladestorm. They'll likely disarm.
Or, fear them and run. Let the fear expire. It'll waste their evasion.
Use retaliation and overpower for the remaining duration of evasion.

If they vanish, wait a few seconds and heroic leap anywhere. They'll likely use shadowstep and if you're far away, they'll have to run to you.

A good rogue will trinket the throwdown, not the fear so, save your throwdown for after they use their trinket. Pop recklessness (but have a cancelaura macro for it) and your DPS trinket and start nuking them.

And always keep a bleed on them.

Berserker rage breaks gouge.

I tried Swifty's method, too, Xiathan. I found it to be very ineffective. Trinketing the blind is a good idea, but being locked in a full kidney is worse than them re-opening.

At least, that's what I do. Trial, error and experience. Just because Swifty is famous doesn't mean he's good. I can deal with rogues quite well.

BG rogues are pretty bad when you duel against the best on your own realm.

Practice, practice, practice. Challenge the best on your realm so you can beat the ones in BGs and arena.

Edit: And by best, I mean every class except frost mages. Kiting and blinking isn't skill.

I actually got a rogue better geared than myself down to less than half hp. And he actually won 'cause a warlock and a mage appeared and started facerolling from a distance.

But, truth is, I really have no clue what I did? xD

Or well, he disarmed, so I disarmed... then I really can't remember what I did.. O.o

Don't worry. Rogues get their asses kicked by warrs on MoP beta right now.
