No idea where people got it from but when pugs telling me I need to go all out on Sta gems in every socket for Madness and Spine I need to varify.

Where does this nonsense come from?

Couldnt find it on EJ or IV

Sounds like bollocks in all honesty.

The marginally better minimum deathstrike heals are not going to have a very noticeable effect on your survival at all.

Stamina isn't important for spine, but it's great for heroic madness. Madness has certain stamina thresholds where its impossible to survive an impale unless you've passed them (easily reachable post nerf by just swapping out trinkets though) and Yor'sahj style but worse magic damage in phase 2.

Stamina is a valid choice for a tank to make, based on their raid and preferences.

The only tank that actually needs a bit more stamina than others is the warrior.
You as DK don't have to worry about a thing. Maybe slightly for Madness like Starkey mentioned.

Edit: You actually are pugging Spine and Madness HC? :o

your stamina is, during the important phase, by 25% reduced. So sta is a lot more worse than in other fights.

This. Madness I could kind of see it... but no amount of stam stacking will let you survive an impale without a few cooldowns.

Gemming stamina should never-ever been done without understanding how deathstrike works. Even the 1st Madness/spine tanks did not gem for full stamina. The concept is taken by DK's, who flat out say "since mastery is useless" - one has to gem stamina.

What one should do is to equip stamina based gear for HC spine, but maintain healthy mastery depending of the task at hand. I.e I tank Hodeous, thereby mastery still is useful.

For madness, I use stamina because less avoidence actually helps me aborb more and thereby it is more beneficial to raid.

With 15% nerf it doesn't matter what you gem. Even with intellect gems you'd probably be fine.

Yes, we havent had a solid 10man group since Firelands.

Grim Batol is one of the worst realms PvE-wise when it comes to finding loyal and solid players.

More stamina -> more venegance -> more AP -> more dmg -> more threat

More stamina -> biggest max blood shield ->
