the best battlegroups are horde anyway so this idea of going human to stay competitive is a complete misconception

Just wish they'd allow you to choose whatever racial you want regardless of what race you actually are. That, good sir, is an excellent suggestion! |

Where has that suggestion forum gone which Blizzard liked to put there for people to mistakenly believe that they cared about their suggestions.

I always thought that the best design would be to simply remove the PvP trinket from the game, and give everyone an ability like Every Man For Himself.
SW:ToR does this, and I think it works quite nicely. Assuming it was done in WoW, Blizzard would just need to create a new racial for Humans (and probably Forsaken and Gnomes too). But that's okay, because let's be fair, the "dispel debuffs"-racials aren't very inventive in the first place – especially not when compared to some of more the actual race inspired abilities like Gift of the Naaru, Shadowmeld, Berserking, etc.. The issue with the PvP trinket has always been the fact that it removes choice for a PvPer. Despite the fact that you have two trinket slots, you really only have one, because you always need to reserve one slot for the PvP trinket. It is mandatory, and that's bad design. |

Lets try and put on some bussines glasses for a minutte..
If you wanted to milk ppl of their money, wouldent it be a brilliant idea to, on purpace make inbalances regularly? Cuz ppl actually transfeer to be compettetive. (not me, cuz i see what blizzard is doing, and im not faling in that trap) I truely belive these retarded inbalances are on purpace, to force ppl to race/faction change to stay 100% compettetive.. Its the only thing imo that makes sence, with all this !@#$ going on. I dont belive the devs are so retarded that they dont have any idea what they are doing. Im looking forward to, when they reach the point were most ppl have gone human, and then they make some horde race totally unreal, to make ppl change back.. (imagine the money blizzard is making of this ?! And yes, human racial is totally out of order.. If you follow the top player on streams like i do, you will realise that all of em, and i meen ALL of em have gone human (unless they are shaman then its dwarf >.<) I would like to see more ppl try putting on the "money glasses" cuz most ppl in these forums, never mention this aspect.. Wow is a game, yes.. but, its is also a bussines, try and remember this next time you see blizzard doing "odd" stuff, then it usually makes sence... |

this would have the opposite effect of nobody wanting to roll human. ehm, basically atm i find it incredibly sad that 99% of the pvpers only think about dmg because thats what they think will win them the game. I cannot count the amount of games I have won because of shadowmeld or the games ive lost cause of belf/tauren racial allows them to get a cast off like a clone or whatever they need. Sure humans do dmg, but id rather have an extra utility spell, unless i was playing a faceroll melee "run in and zerg hurr durr" comp. |
But then every 80% of the wow population playing human for the trinket would have to change race lolol = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
|
|
This. Yep, when I faction changed to Alliance I noticed I wasn't getting hit so hard by rogues in general. The racial is too good for PvP and makes it a complete no brainer, which is why you see in any alliance dominated Battlegroup ladder it's like 80% Human, 10% Draenei and 10% nightelf, and they're only them races because they can't be humans. |

Lets try and put on some bussines glasses for a minutte.. This is wrong. Blizzard are not a stupid organisation and especially in this day and age when people are far more aware of what money they have and what they spend it on, would just end up alienating their own community. People have no problem spending money on things which they like, vanity items is a good example of that, but spending money to maintain an advantage is something that people would react negatively too pretty quickly. Because, Blizzard are already getting your money and it's far more important to the long-term future of the company to keep its fans, if you treat your fans too badly, they won't stay with you. Another example which disproves your theory is that racial balance doesn't change that often (and class balance is largely meaningless in this regard, since your more likely to just stop if your class becomes bad, you can't pay for a class change (yet)), Human has been as good as it is for like 3 years now or so. This is also why they don't offer in-game items for sale, although it's a bit different, there is a vast majority of the community that would simply quit the game if Blizzard offered that type of service. As I said, having a single racial being dominate is actually less profitable, because people transfer to that race once and then don't change. Having 10 (soon to be 11) balanced racials is far more likely to be profitable because people (as has been proven with pets and mounts) much prefer to spend money on vanity aspects. They would definitely spend money on race changes more often than they do now. |

They should disallow PvE gear to be used in rated PvP then the human racial isn't that much of an advantage.
|
The reason is Blizzard are too stupid to understand that people are actually changing races in order to get an advantage. I think blizzard just do that so they can make money of pvp'ers. But agreed, every man for him self is redicous! Nobody should have it or every one should have it. |
|
|
As a Human....I am highly offended by the whining...but Thornass...I do agree with you.
|
Pretty much everyone would go with Every man for himself, making all other racials pretty much unused. |
