Humans are popular because PvE trinkets in Cata are absurd and easy to get.
I wouldn't have a problem with Emfh if the trinkets weren't outta control, remember Unheeded warning back in the days? Rogue's started rolling humans once they had it. DK's aswell once they had the Apparatus etc etc.
Now, I see nearly every Human mage running with the on use and Foul Gift ( 383Int+1149 mastery proc).
It's stupid, when that trinket procs they just have to launch their orb, wich gives them a crazy amount of FoF procs and they can easily drop 125k of ur hp in 4 instant globals aka Ice lance.
The introduction of the Mastery stat in Cata defenetly helped screwing over the balance in PvP.
Also with smokebomb introduced this expansion (one the most op abilities arena-wise imo) ppl wanted to increase their dmg or pressure even more by rolling humans.
I knew several players that played rated PvP since TBC and for some reason they all went human in Cata, no coincidence, this expansion is more about burst then the previous and the human racial helps A LOT with that.

You want want every man for himself so bad , take it , and every other racial that gives you + dmg + crit + on use something should be removed . let see how much you will like it .
Horde has aways been better then alliance because , THEY HAVE HAD BETTER RACIAL FOR 3/4 of the time the game was released , and every player that wanted to be somewhat competitive had to go horde . Even now their overall racials are slightly better , but its more equal then when it was + 5 weapon skills VS will of the forsaken or blood fury .
There would have still been tons of undead /orc playing , if it wasn't for the good looks of the blood elves .
And this will always be the case.
Can anyone name a single season where there wasn't an overpowered trinket that was obtainable?
Unless this new "PvP Power / Defence" mechanic actually makes it so PvE gear is completely un-viable, then the Human racial will always be the best racial in the game, because no racial will ever be as powerful as a trinket from current content PvE.

This again??????? Know what just remove all racials, and yes i use 2 pvp trinkets since i find it disgracefull to use pve trinket/weapons in pvp. Only thing i use 2 piece for holy power (because without we rets can basicly quit arena`s aswell we won`t be comeptive then, /cheer will be standard in mop). And people who us op trinkets and legendary and warriors with gurth in arena gtf of. Although i`m using 2 piece (was full pvp 2 months ago), but the trinkets + legendary`s on mage/rouge now a day`s isn`t normal anymore oh look everything procced your dead or look anathor tentacle, oh anathor and now 4 arghhhhhh. This ruins pvp those trinkets and those kind of weapons combined with pvp utility builds..
But oke never used pve weapons or trinkets in pvp and alway`s only equiped pvp stuff. And like Multisport said "I'd take wotf/belf silence/Warstomp over resi/chance to proc stat randomly any day" sure here take my racial (give me something new ofc or remvoe all of them!) i will sarcrfice my chance and replace proc pvp str pvp trinket with a trinke tone (won`t lose resi anyhow). And yes i rather walk around in full pvp but thanks to state of the game for rets forced for to go 2 piece......
I can remember some treads about the 10% extra rep for humans being unfair, tbh i don`t care for this to give me the standard +1% hit (less reforging = more stats). Next one people will be comlaining about will be monk food buff oh double stats unfair in pve...
And to explain the two piece:p try being a ret without it not doable in arena oh look it will take 13.5 sec till i can do tv strike or zealory or inq etc (thats is if epeople aren`t smart enough to cc or kite you then causing your 2 holy powers to vanish in thin air.. And yes i know it can proc 5 times in a row but ret is so much rng without this 2 piece (will be fixed in mop to ty bliz less rng for rets, overall they are fixing all of the rets probs in pvp in mop /cheer again).
Tbh, I would like to see every active racial replaced with current human racial, remove the current PvP trinket from the game and let people have fun with other trinkets (not PvE!!!) instead. It would not give a clear advantage for anyone, and now you can actually chose a race based on looks/animations. All my characters are human, just because I feel that I "have to" do it...

The only reason humans have this racial is because blizzard's inability to find a proper one to replace Perception. I remember back then they tested other things on PTR, like "fall of humanity" which was a hunter FD, and eventually made this crap you have now the night before patch was implemented.
And the solution wouldn't be to give everyone this ability, it would be to remove this effect from the game and properly balance ccs.
Oh and i guess extra silence , fear removal , + 5 % speed stealth ,shadowmeld , 30 % haste , extra spell power /ap , aoe stun , 10 % demage reduction , root remover and all else aren't good racials also ? or you simply don't know how and when to use them ? especially goblin jump is something that has a lot of potential if used right ...
berserking is 20 % haste proffesor.
Did not read the whole thing, but the idea of allowing to pick racials sounded cool.
So I went and made this suggestion on what picks each slot could have, and cleared it a bit.
So a character could pick 1 (One) line from each of the gategories, and only racials that are required for the race (Worgen transforming) remain on them still.
Active Combat Slot
- Gift of the Naaru (Renamed for each race)
- Escape Artist
- Every Man for Himself (Renamed for each race/gender)
- Arcane Torrent
- Rocket Jump/Rocket Barrage
- Blood Fury
- Will of the Forsaken (Renamed for each race)
Passive Combat Slot
- Heroic Presence : +1% Hit
- Viciousness : + 1% Crit
- Expansive Mind : +5% mana
- The Human Spirit : +3% spirit (Renamed for each race)
- Time is money friend : 1% haste (Renamed to something all around fitting)
- Master of Arms (3 expertise for melee weapons, 1% crit for ranged weapons)
- Command : +15% Pet damage
- Endurance: +5% Base health
- Hardiness : -15% Stun duration
- Da Voodoo Shuffle : -15% Snare duration (Renamed to something all around fitting)
- +10 Skill and faster gathering for gathering profession of choice
- +10 Skill and faster crafting for crafting profession of choice
On passive RNG defensive racials
I don't really think that keeping these are of any value balance wise (I.e misses in PvP even with hit cap) so they could aswell be removed in my view.
Altho I do not know if this serves any other purpose than spending my time.

that is your opinion, I personally would like to have the Orc 5% pet damage and Blood Fury: Spell power on use. I could use this in pvp and pve
No you wouldnt, its crap. the boost it gives is barely noticable and yes its useable in pve and pvp but its still quite Meh,
If you truely wanted this racial you would go from human to orc for it, but you dont. nor dose nearly any other human warlock but you see many many transferring to humans for the extra trinket
