I've been away from tanking for a little while now and was just wondering, as I can't find any info/feedback/etc on it, whether tanks (DK's inparticular) bother with increasing their Exp/Hit at all above their base stats?

Should I be looking to reforge out of these stats to lower them even more?

Nope, you dont need them as tank, unless you want to do damage and cause more thread.

5%+ hit can be usefull to have less change to miss a hit.

Just reforge out of them, we get plenty of threat through vengeance.

Hopefully this'll change come MoP because i'm sick to death of being parry spammed :(

Go ret then and reach the hit and expertise cap. Your job is to avoid taking huge chinks of damage, not deal it. Dealing it is merely a nice bonus.

Some advice if you are open to it. Throw fractured amberjewels in yellow slots, not hybrid gems. (You shouldn't be relying on a dps trinket to proc to grant you mastery as a tank, not so far below the ctc cap)

For basic heroic tanking it's nice to have hit and expertise. get the hit trinket that i am using and reforge some expertise for it. For raid tanking i assume that hit and exp isnt that big of a deal as tanks do nice amount of threat generally

Indeed, it's the only one I have, been running stonecore for that trinket as I sold the jewelcrafting one, I am going to get the valor one tomorrow if the stonecore one doesnt drop today.

Mind you, I will probably pick up the DS LFR/normal one this week..... hopefully.

If the MoP beta is anything to go by as tanks we'll be going for hit/expertise as it will directly influence our survivability, i dont think any of us want to be top dps but noone can deny how frustrating it is having 2-3 parries in a row :P

Nice to know. When Jamilia dies to lack of avoidance (s)he can reflect on how awesome they will be come MoP while they are licking the floor :P

I am going for avoidance, I am just voicing how annoying it is to be missing, and getting parried/dodged...
