Please Note That the computer has undergone reformatting, with only world of warcraft installed, no add ons installed. The connection is shared with 1 other person whom does not suffer disconnections from the game at any time. There are no forms of disconnections on other programs during the times in which I disconnect from WoW. In addition I am not being disconnected from any other online games. Ports have been checked and fowarded. And finally during gameplay I am not running into walls or objects potentially triggering a known DC issue. In terms of the disconnections themselves, they can vary in severity. At times I can play the game for approximately an hour before disconnecting, and at others (not impacted by peak times), only remain online for seconds or a few minutes until suffering a disconnection. After being disconnected once in any given day, further log ins lead to an increase in frequency of these disconnections, usually soon after the subsequent log ins. (Ie Approximately 10-15 seconds in game before disconnection). World of Warcraft has been installed using the online downloadable client, and I have used the repair tool as a precaution yet nothing was flagged. |
Can you please access the configuration page for this device, and disable uPnP? 6 15ms 0/ 100 = 0% 0/ 100 = 0% 217.41.169.109 7 --- 100/ 100 =100% 100/ 100 =100% acc2-10GigE-11-3-0.sf.21cn-ipp.bt. 8 --- 100/ 100 =100% 100/ 100 =100% core2-te0-12-0-6.ealing.ukcore.bt. 9 --- 100/ 100 =100% 100/ 100 =100% core2-pos5-0-0.telehouse.ukcore.bt 10 32ms 0/ 100 = 0% 0/ 100 = 0% t2as2-tge1-4.uk-lon1.eu.bt.net [16 If disabling uPnP does not help, I'd recommend you either show this pathping to BT or else await a blue post. I don't want to read too much into it, but the hops I quoted don't look good. At all. |

Hi there,
There are some specific issues with BT Routers and Voyager Modems Causing disconnects. To resolve this please follow the steps below. 1. Go to http://whatismyipaddress.com 2. Note down your IP-address 3. Unplug the landline cable from your BT Router for a couple minutes 4. Connect it again and verify you can access the Internet 5. Access the http://whatismyipaddress.com again and verify that IP-address has changed 6. Try and access World of Warcraft if you have a new IP-address |

Hi,
So, I have undergone this process 2 nights ago, after doing it playing the game appeared smooth, I was able to play for approximately 3 hours without an issue until I logged off. (I did verify the IP had changed). However the following morning the disconnections began again and the IP had changed again. I had repeated the process simply to check but the disconnections continued consistently and have done for the past 2 days. Anything else that can be done or reasons for this? Whilst potentially irrelevant to the disconnections I noticed today that my cooldowns don't appear to be in time with the game server, ie. stating they are ready 5-10 seconds before they are on 2-3 minute duration cds. Thanks. |
