Is it me or have people just stopped chatting in BGs , I mean reporting really, or are some players unable to talk for other reasons

Given how bg chat looked before, I'd guess new 'bad language' report function works as intended.

Mostly 1 of at most 3 people talking in chat trying to coordinate to no avail but atleast I try!
Yes if people would just use it more.... then we could win more instead of why didn`t you ask for help when you noticed horde was getting stables... |

Seems to vary for me.
Some times you get the epeen people at the start of the bg, or the person who thinks they know everything. Other times complete silence until 25s before the game ends when people will swear in chat and blame everyone but themselves for the loss. I always tend to call incomings, bases that look easy to cap, where the flag carriers running etc, usually makes other people talk back with the same too making it easier to win, or atleast play better |

I shout efc tunnel , and It seems I'm the only one going after it , I might as well to talk to the wall
Hello Wall During call to arms its non stop chat. I mean some of those are bickering , but at least I know they're real people |

I rarely bother reading chat, because it's spammed by people who call others "noobs" or how much our team sucks because we are losing the match. I don't remember that kind of behavior on vanilla battlegrounds.
|
Vanilla battlegrounds were a conflict of the server's Horde and Alliance, rather than random people vs random people from anywhere from any faction (everyone has alts on both factions now). In vanilla there was a sense of more tightly knit community, and so, less flaming other people for no reason. It can't be helped. |

lol its actualy true i didnt play vanila but started early wotlk it wasnt so bad on flaming back then now u join a bg and u can tell at start who the raging people are and middway it goes something like this u !@#$ing noob why didnt u this why didnt u that i even call incs help out where needed so excuse me for not having ur backup at that point is so bad to do the right thing while other people flame at u i usualy feel the need to leave battleground but geting the debuff isnt my idea of great either this is also the reason i stoped whit pvp and started again later the people that play pvp these days are too agresive for me which is a disapointment pvp and raiding is supose to be *fun* not flaming people who do it for the sake of flaming

Leveling a priest via PvP, I can tell there is always a bunch of people who react, call incomings, and all sort of that. Certainly, there are bots too. But, aside that people are often one shotted, it's fun. Just need to stop when things don't work out. (Like 14 losses in a row. Still, my win ratio is 50%.)
Didn't play 85 since ages, however. Not gonna try it on any new toon, it isn't exactly fun with 90k health, 0 resilience and 10k PvE dps. I tried that during previous expansions, I always ended up physically raging. So I don't care, but many people could just go ahead and employ a bot for a few days, until their toon is somewhat geared. Then, after a bit of real PvP, arena awaits, and there is little reason to turn back to that grindfest. And this:
I try to call incomings in advance, but once in progress... Can't do, sir! |

Back in vanilla ppl knew eachother, they knew teammates they could rely on, they knew the opponents, how good they were and what spec they played just by seeing their name. Hell I even knew the names of ppl you couldnt rely on and were prone to leave a base undefended.
From that comes, opponents werent anonymous and a walking HK. It wasnt as meaningless as it is today; you could go toe to toe with an enemy and prove your worth and the result of that would be remembered. Also in line with that came more ambition to win, and excellent drama on the forums as a result. It was basically one community against the other over which a layer of sworn enemies was present. An excellent concept. However since X-bg you wont remember the names of your opponents and likely not meet them again for months, same to your teammates. Its anonymous and everybody minds his own business basically its no longer competitive play just farming gear. |

completely agree with Gaahl,in these days all i see in battlegrounds is players who swear at each other;also dramas on realm forums have been missed greatly. |
