How is this realm?

In terms of RP? I'm looking to get back into it again after a year or so break from it and I'm looking at this realm as a possibilty. Are they are players/guilds that would be able to help an old roleplayer back on their feet after being into pvp/raiding for such a long time?
What is the Roleplay like here? Is it mainly guild based? Am i likely to run into any random RP at all? Just give me some info about your realm really :-) Thanks |

Greetings Geisha, and thanks for the interest in our humble realm.
You are using a Blood Elf Avatar, so I'll assume you're mostly interested in how things are Horde-side. As that is where I am from, I'll present Moonglade from a Horde perspective. We're not the biggest busiest realm around perhaps, but certainly one of the most enjoyable. We've got a connected community, and RP is not on the decline. You'll find the realm is currently well-connected without too much OOC-drama taking away the fun. There are of course hotspots of RP. On our realm its rarely empty in the Valley of Honor, and the former largest hub of Silvermoon yet offers RP as well times. Not everyone gathers to these hotspots, naturally. For finding random RP a RP addon like MyRolePlay (MRP) can be helpful in recognizing fellow RPers, especially since Transmogrification has brought great outfits to non-RPers as well. :) The community at large is well connected, a lot staying connected through the RP Channels. RPNetwork is used for finding and organising RP, while RPSocial offers home for RPers to engage freely in discussions and interests often less related to RP. The server has its share of events. Being in a guild can help you find RP of course, and Moonglade has many guilds to cover many RP interests. Mercenary, military, social/family, tribal, adventuring, heroic, or mysterious. And plenty that mix it up, naturally. The social nature of the server sometimes sees guilds team up to tackle larger raids together that they can't handle alone. At any rate, if you choose this realm, or wish to learn more, I am plenty others would be quite willing to answer your questions and tell you more. What I have seen so far, it is currently "slightly" dead. Only major hotspot is Pig and Whistle of Stormwind, but the quality of RP there varies greatly. Anyhow, I know some people (including me) who are willing to do something for the apparent lack of multi-dimensional RP on Alliance side. :) I can be wrong, I can be. Correct me if I am. |
