WoW is becoming too easy.

Forgive me if there are already a million topics about this, but I don’t visit the forums that frequently so I might have missed them. In either case, I saw a few topics half addressing this item and I’m hoping that I can get more attention to it by putting it out there plainly: WoW is becoming too easy.
Especially dungeons, leveling and other solo play. I’m hoping that maybe, just maybe blizzard will pick up on it. Now this annoyance has grew in me over the past years and I noticed I’m not the only one, far from it. And when I just popped the launcher and saw they decreased the Dragon soul difficulty, I couldn’t help thinking; yet ANOTHER nerf. Now the question that continuously has popped into my head over the past few months is: WHY BLIZZARD? WHY? Why are you continuously ruining this game to the ground? I loved WoW, but it has lost its challenge in every possible way. When I think the game cannot be any more monotonous, you still find a way to nerf it again. Isn’t it common sense, that when you have to put some effort in something, there is a reward of satisfaction? A Thrill, a sense of accomplishment. And when you take that effort away, the game becomes utterly dull? Isn’t that plain psychology? By making this game so easy, Blizzard has ruined the community with it. Communication and politeness between players has become everything but necessary. Pugs are characterized by verbal abuse, people are impatient, and I feel the average age of players has dropped to 13. I’m sure the majority of the current players are not the same people that played Vanilla/TBC, it’s a whole other target group. And I noticed it on a personal level aswell, since most of my ‘vanilla friends’ have quit the game in the meantime. The only reason I still log on now and then is because I love the world/music/the lore etc. And I’m hoping that in the future it might change for the best. For a possible solution; - Create a number of servers for players that prefer the ‘vanilla/tbc’ style? A more challenging server, with therefor a more mature community. - Create a heroic mode for dungeons/raids/quests that is truely challenging, and stays that way. By all means, bring back CC, tactics and the need of personal skill in dungeons! Bring back attunement quests, class quests and exploring maps! The need of grouping with others to kill a rare mob..! And so on.. Blizzard has removed every sense of excitement and danger in this game, and now it's so dreadfully boring, that I'm wondering how long it will last still. Ps. To be clear, I'm not talking about endgame raiding since I gave that up caus I play casual these days. It's the overall PvE game experience, including solo play. Also It's not my intention to brag. It's just a shame to see what the game has become. |

Wow is too easy, and you haven't cleared anything. No offense.
It is, but the idea is to move forward with the game, and not backwards. Also, another installation of the game would need to be made to cater to these "Vanilla/TBC Style servers" - Alot of things would need to be changed. I.E. Talent System back to how it was back then (When it was good) - World would need to be remade, before the Cataclysm. Alot of work to cater to the minority of people |

I'm not referring to guild raids. Typical of people immediately looking at raid progress. I gave up serious raiding 2 years ago since it's too time consuming. Yet I hear people complaining about it, plus obviously I'm referring to Raidfinder, which is a joke. But there is (or at least used to be!) alot more to WoW then just endgame raiding. I used to enjoy solo play like questing, and 5 man dungeons. I'm referring to topics like: - groupquests (always fun to try to solo them) - questchains to obtain a mount - leveling of hunter's pets - venturing into the wild to discover a flightpath - and more stuff i cant think of right now It's the lack of those little things that make the game less exciting. |
Wow is too easy, and you haven't cleared anything. No offense. Well, I'm sure money wouldnt be an issue ;) They're swimming in it. Plus I'm convinced creating such a server would bring back ALOT of old players.. It doesnt have to be old game content, it can be new content but with a higher difficulty level. |

That was such a horrible design choice.. |

If Wow has become to easy / boring / not like Vanilla..surely these players realised this before hitting lvl 85 and clearing end content. But no..they get to max lvl, do this that and the other..then moan it was too easy?!
Seriously..why bother playing?! And no, there is no chance of a Vanilla / Pre TBC server, as it's already been stated on numerous occasions! |
If Wow has become to easy / boring / not like Vanilla..surely these players realised this before hitting lvl 85 and clearing end content. But no..they get to max lvl, do this that and the other..then moan it was too easy?! I didnt say anything about a Vanilla/TBC content server, It's about gameplay, level of difficulty etc. They could make those adaptions on MoP. Personally I loved the ICC 5 man dungeons, and the start of cataclysm. Ofcourse a majority of people then started complaining because they were used to Wotlk.. |
So you refuse to do things that are challenging / hard all the while complaining about the game being too easy? Well the only (PvE) 'thing' that is still challenging/hard I can think of is endgame raiding. And I gave that up since I dont have time to spend 3-4 nights raiding for 4 hours. Like many, I have a job and a social life I'd like to maintain. I like to play casually. So that's my point really, nowadays, besides endgame raiding, there is very little challenging stuff the game has to offer. Which is a shame really. |

Mists of Pandaria are supposed to change that. Lets hope they will add some more fun for less time-hoarding players.

I don't think its become too Easy i'd rather say that the playerbase has become alot better and that Blizzard can't keep up with the skill level of the customer

Actually, MoP is following cataclysm's free-stuff-for-no-effort design. |

I'm not sure if dungeons have become more easy, at least not for solo.
During Wrath time I could easily solo some dungeons just under my level (rogue and hunter), but then when Cata hit I suddenly couldn't anymore. Now maybe this changed after a while, I haven't checked. |
You made my day. |

Yea just /chuckle. Undeniably a very few players have a skill level worth a /bow. I would say probably less than 1% though. The rest have just regressed, all of the spoonfeeding is mostly to blame. |

Yep. The term 'faceroll' used to be exaggeration for comic effect. Now with LFR you can literally roll your face across the keyboard for an hour and collect epics. Ridiculous.
