I know this is probly the wrong area for this thread so Ill say im sorry now but i cnt post on any other area. So please read before you remove it if your from customer support.
I need some people to convince me to play WOW because I am stuck between WoW & EVE. Now I dont want to hear how much you dont like EVE but instead why I should play WoW. As of the 1st of May CCP are dropping there subcription cost to £10 similar to WoW so the fee's dont bother me. Im edging more towards EVE because it may start slow but has loads of stuff to do eventually. The problem I have with WoW is what happens when I get to Lvl 85. Is it just Raids, dungeons and PVP's? Also do the quests get better because on the starter edition all i have done is kill a few things for one guy then drop somthing off to another and the kill some things for him and go talk to some one else. Other than making a giant eat a laxative I have been an exterminator and post man. Sorry for the long post but please I really cant decide. If someone can give me some convincing that WoWs end game is as good as its starts then Ill may be willing to dedicate my self to WoW. Thanks guys. |

First off from my point of view,
EvE online is a broad space game - there is literally one world (alot of servers holding it up) and there will be always someone there doing something. However in WoW it all depends on the small community (or large) in the realms. Were you looking for a RolePlay, Player VS Player, Player VS Environment, RolePlay Player VS Player realms? EvE is about cutting your own destiney, in the end you could scam someone there and walk away with it. Become a pirate, or have your own business. In WoW, as you see above the type of Realms you could do alot but questing is mostly about killing things and come back, killing things looting the quest items and come back, or doing special objectives in the game. Depending on your server population and the kind of player you are - you could invest time in either roleplaying High General of the Alliance (oops, that place is taken) do arena & Rated Battlegrounds, or beat the hell out of Deathwing week after week until you meet him headon Heroic! My advise is to keep playing Starter Edition on multiple realms, and look around the attitude of players and then give a go for it with a basic upgrade from Starter Edition to TBC which also grants you 30 days free with restrictions only for up to TBC content! |

And Saneko thanks for the advice think Im gonna give the starter a bit more of a go then make my choice but even tho i sed i was edging more to EVE I gotta say the WoW community is alot more helpfull Ive asked 2 questions and both were answered almost straight away so theres one up for WoW.
