Beast Mastery in 2's Arena

Hey
Me and a guild friend who plays Arms Warrior are starting to run some Arena and get some rating. We're up to 1300 relatively pain free, but I want to really scrutinize my play to see how I can improve. I have a couple questions. Focused Fire? Should I spec into it, and should I use it? I dont see the benefit of consuming the frenzy effects on your pet as you're gimping his damage by doing so. Im also a bit of a Crit horder and been running with the Devilsaur for the +5% crit, and with Spirit Beast also. Can you suggest or recommend another pet type that can be useful in this comp. I'd love to hear any other tips or suggestions if you have any experience in running this composition or with BM in Arena in general? |

Spirit Mend is crucial for BM, with the CD being short I've managed 1v2 situations many times. Albeit only 1.6k- before 2v1 becomes impossible.

BM is nice but still i think Mm is better.
you play with a warrior so you dont get any heals. Pretty tuff to play againts healer dps or maybe other 2 dpsers. When i face you with a ret paladin or mage youre warior going so fast down you think wtf happend. Warrior isnt any good with hunter. Same as shadowpriest warlock shaman other hunter. DK is viable but i prefer rogue mage ret! Anyway Spirit beast is best i think and nuke the target pretty hard and hope it goes down! gl bro |

Double dps is about short burst heavy games, use a Spirit Beast for the heal on yourself / your Warrior.
Before the game starts, get a wolf / devilsaur out and use it's +5% crit ability. Use it with about 15 seconds remaining on the starter countdown. Swap back to your Spirit Beast. Have your Warrior use Commanding Shout (your Spirit Beast brings the equivilant of Battle Shout). The only time you don't want to consume focus fire is when TBW has less than 15 seconds on the CD / is currently active. This way, you'll always push out the most damage with your pet when TBW is active. |

BM is a good spec for really quick burst, but MM will always be better spec for PvP at least for Cata. As BM you are losing out important blank silence and readiness which is really important to keep u alive with another detterance, second rapid fire and traps/silence cd renewal.
I used to play BM for fun in arenas and all I can suggest you is to make macro for all your cooldowns (rapid fire, burst trinket, rabid, bestial wrath) and use spirit beast. As it has roar of courage and heal its better than other pets and ur warrior can provide you with stamina buff. After poping all your CDs you should be able to burst down pretty quickly by using kill command every CD and spamming arcane shot as hell. If you run out of focus use fervor and continue rotation. By this time your target should be dead. Remember to maintain your CC and synchronize it with warrior. Also, reforge your gear to full mastery for BM. some games from last season I played as BM with Feral, mmr 1700-2000.
