Guild wars 2. Bye wow?
|
looking at this game and all that comes with it, graphics, playstyle etc, do you think this game will make you quit wow?
I am almost certain its curtains for me and wow if guild wars 2 plays as good as it looks like on videos so far. |

No need to post about it here.
You are just starting a flame war and it's useless to have one. |

Age of Conan, Warhammer, Aion, Rift, SWTOR. People said the same thing about everyone of them.

This. Every single MMO that comes out all you see is: "will xxx be the wow killer" or "will you be quitting for xxx" and every single time a new MMO comes out 2 months later people are bashing it, "its buggy" "its crap" "theres no end game" "im going back to WoW". This threads are boring now, if you want to quit WoW for a new MMo good for you! no need to feel the need to post about it considering you'll be back within the month. |

guild wars 2 doesint have the same busness model wow does , with no monthly cost theres no one or the other.
guild wars 2 wont be any diffrent to someone turning wow off and playing call of duty , were as a mmo with a monthly fee means your paying double the cost per month. |

Why quit WoW when GW2 is F2P. :o
|
except gw2 is n ot like every other 'wow killer' for 2 reasons 1- guild wars 2 is a F2P, so for people like me for instance, we will be playing both games 2- GW2 has nothiing to prove since it already has a very large player base from GW |

I'm most likely going to be playing both.
GW2 seems amazing, but I've made some nice friends in WoW and will most likely pop up a few times to say hi, possibly play a BG or arena. There is something about WoW that I think no game will ever beat... I can't place my finger on it, nor really explain it properly, but I'm sure you all understand what I mean. |

I quit WoW a week ago for Swtor, Im thinking of Quiting again this week. :L

At the moment, the only thing that will make me quit WoW is Blizzrd themselves. I play a few MMO's, and GW2 will be one of them. If the Panda expansion is another dumbing down, I'll hopefully be able to switch to Diablo3. I'm trying not to set my expectations too high though, as I don't want to suffer disappointment like I did with SWTOR (although I still play it, i've just had to turn a blind eye so to speak). GW2 looks good, but my biggest problem is how all MMO's are the same. I know WoW has a thriving player base, that other companies want a piece of, so familiar mechanics is the safe bet for a new MMO, but i'd like to see someone try something truely different. |

Evry now a than, new mmo's comes out and than thos threads pops up like fungus.
Evryone says how they will quit, cuz that new mmo is shinyer, better game play, more balanced, omg graphics are alot better than in wow.... And than go on cursing and naming evryone that likes wow a fanboys. Now i almost played evry new mmo out there and i'll prolly try it GW2. To ppl here SWTOR looked like wow "killer". Long story short it didnt killed wow :P |

GW2 might appeal to the PvP crowd, however, at this point it doesn't have much to offer to PvE players appart from the leveling process (same as SWTOR). Personally, I would like to try it out tho.

Honestly, WoW needs some competition. I like this game, at least the whole concept, but Blizzard just don't seem to care. The quality of this game has constantly been dwindling and Blizzard knows that they can be lazy since WoW has almost no competition so people aren't going to leave for anything.
I'm definitely going to buy GW2, whether it will replace WoW as my MMO of choice, I don't know. But it seems very good, I like the whole "side kicking" thing and the supposedly super hard 5-man dungeons and that they actually seem to care about PvP. That last one will be the kicker if anything. |

Like many said before, it's F2P.
You can easily play both. Heck, even with a monthly fee I would play both cause Guild Wars 2 looks amazing. |

GW never supposed to be a WOW killer. At Gw release it was not. Also at GW2, the producers never spent a word tht " our game will kill wow" or likewise afaik.
GW's style was always much more diffent than WOW and they dont have many common points except both are MMO. Also, Gw2 never afraid of WOW cose it has its own playerbase already. WOW have no reasons to be afraid of GW release neither GW has. Ppl play WOW or GW its all thier decisions. None would kill other. Its a matter of taste. Personally i ll try out GW2 too. But that doesnt mean it will kill my WOW life. Ppl effort on many things at WOW for months, throwing away all your time wasted toons for another MMO is not tht easy. |
looking at this game and all that comes with it, graphics, playstyle etc, do you think this game will make you quit wow? Why do you need to know other people opinion in order to leave wow and move on? If i'm not happy with something or want to try something new i just do it, don't need other people to tell me to do so, so why this? |
