Yes. There are a few remarkable Destruction Warlocks but definitely with your experience Affliction is the way. Besides, most teams prefer Affliction. Rotation ( i have no idea what dots to use/when to use them )These two can be combined. Fear is an important CC, but your main focus should be on applying full dots on all opponents unless you decide to keep 1 CC'd outside of kill attempts. Having 3 targets with dots ticking means all three are potential kill targets. RLS can switch a lot, which is in my opinion their best tactic, but tunneling a target is possible too. For the switches, it means you keep dotting everyone until you go for the kill. A kill basically consist of: Having forced all trinkets that can make a difference, full stun, full Smokebomb, full set of DoTs already applied + Haunt + (optional) Shadow and Flame. Before the bomb ends, you should start CC'ing the healer. Your DoTs are running and the Rogue should finish it. Hexing first is a great option since the Warlock can keep nuking for an additional few seconds. There is not really a defensive role in RLS since a defensive RLS is doing it wrong. Even against RMP RLS is to be played very violently. Kill targets are situational against an RLS. All three are hard to kill with cooldowns up, but all three are easily destroyed in a bomb after all cooldowns have been used. The first player on your team that has no more defensive cooldowns is most likely the target. Before that, kill attempts will be minimal since every member of RLS is hard to kill; Spirit-Link/Stuns/Sheers/(AoE) Fear make it a hard chase, whoever it is you are chasing. As a Warlock, Fel Armor up, take care of your pet, don't overextend, know where to place your portal and be aware of Banish; Banish often means you're going to take a whole load of damage. Your defensive is Demon Armor + Soul Link + potentional Demonic Circle:Teleport. Do mind when to teleport; it can be used against you if you or your team's positioning is bad. That's all I have. Goodluck in the tournament and I wish you all the best, especially since you're about to play a class you don't know very well yourself. |
