Fraps Vs My computer Vs Msi Afterburner

Right, my computer is semi decent.
fraps is semi resource eating.... I read somewhere that MSI Afterburner does video without being as !@#$ as fraps.Msi is refusing to do video on my machine for some reason.. anyone got any ideas?I've got keys bound. I've got plenty of room for recording.. hotkeys to being recording are just doing nothing.. |

define 'semi decent'
as in what is your clock rate per core and how much ram are you dedicating to video recording??? edit : i used to use the xfire recoding tool - it isnt exactly 1080p but it certainly does a good enough job for youtube and requires very little run time |

i5 2500k 4.0ghz per core.
8gig of ripjawz.and your "ram dedicated to video" is irrelevant cos msi doesnt appear to give me that option. |

Anyhow, have you tried opening MSI Afterburner as Admin? |

Yeah msi does video. better than fraps does too. less resource usage and at higher fps ultimately because of it.. with better picture quality
