Frostmane.
While being in TerraNova wasn't spectacular apart from guild chat being as silent as a Manchester City home game, asking for an invitation for another alt to Giggy and Policemanguy, and only receiving general rudeness and asinine derogatory comments in return, I've been wondering: Are there any 25 social guilds that are actually...well, social? Community minded? People talking to each other and, god forbid, helping each other out? Perhaps doing some very casual raiding, pvp, anything? Basically a mature guild someone can have a good time in, as opposed to these apathetic flocks of elitist tryhards. Cheers. Never thought I'd miss Pandorian Alliance. |

Mysrael, my advice is to look for a smaller, new guild that is set up. Some times you get lucky and score a social pack of players, however this usually ends up being tops 10 active players, sometimes less.
However it's very rare to find that in a guild that is already level 25. Mainly cause these 'social guilds' are money-makers for the guild leader (usually some crap head from a bigger raiding guilds alt) who doesn't give 2 !@#$s about anything apart from kicking inactive players once a week. This is the truth about guild perks, they've ruined Wow's casual social 'life' |

Perhaps Atheena. It's indeed likely to find anything resembling a community in small guilds more easily, however my massive social guild on Stormrage (my old server) was just that: A mature, socially active guild with raiding events, pvp events, weekly quiz and the likes. Most of all: People just being courteous to others, instead of acting like pricks because they cleared LFR.
Maybe that one was just too rare and I've come to expect too much :). |

Im the Guildmaster of Havok :) Were only level 1, we try to be as Social as we can obviously when people are online :) Majourity of the 85s are from UK. Were not hardcore gamers were just people having a laugh and enjoying the game BUT we are planning to Raid casually as soon as possible :) We do 7/7 Dungeons per week for guild EXP ( Social ) When raiding is set up we will do 1/1 Raids per week And if you enjoy PVP you can set up a team and do PVP, or Arena Hope to hear from you bud, sorry to hear about TerraNova |

As a GM of TerraNova, i can say that whatever happend to you could have been resolved within 5 min inside the guild, but for whatever reason you decided to play butthurt kid and cry on forums that some member refused to invite your alt...like really? You are looking for a guild out of your dreams, where all are polite and all care about each other, and when you are in mood to BG, 20 other ppl loves your decision, and when in mood for a raid all out of 500 online members (cuz good guild has to have 500 online polite members ofc) want to join your raid and carry you thru it. it is MEMBERS who define the guild, some of them are !@#$%^-s, some are great. And TerraNova IS best social/casual guild because of the simple fact that its sadly the only one i can think of. All other social guilds are cashcows for greedy GMs, making money on weekly basis and nothing else. We use all the gold we make for repairs that all members can use (we made the 50k gold repair achi in 5 weeks ) every single member has free glyphs that goes purely from my pocket (its 1-2k per member) all the ppl inside have the base ground to level up and progress in a community that GIVES him something not just farming him like monkey for money. anyway, how to ppl react to each other is something i cant watch upon 24/7, and when something happens i can and will resolve it....or just goto forums and cry how bad the guild is cuz one dick refused to invite my alt. You already talk like 1 of those guildleaders Really..? Didnt mean to come across as a '' Hardcore Guildmaster '' maybe its because no one likes a level 1 guild, and we all team up to level the guild TO get more members to join. Just because i stated we do 7/7 Dungeons.... Jeeeez. Peace. |

Goram, you seem more "butthurt" then Mysrael. He just stated some well known and basic problems that can occur within a social guild today.
What I got from Mysrael's post is that he blames Blizzard and the guild perks that they've created, not TerraNova per se. So from a fellow hunter to another, grow up and behave for crying out load. |

(those were demoted and 1 removed) anyway, i am not butthurt in anyway, it just makes me lol hard when my guild is accused on "non-social" behavior and 1 post after someone advertise TRUE social guild that even does 7/7 dungs and 1/1 raids !!!! just lol :P |

i dont rly feel like supporting creation or running of guilds whos main priority is to farm 10k on cash flow + 7/7 dungs and 1/1 raid for 2750g extra. one of the reasons i started mine was to break the trend when casuals guild were only cash farms. @Wolvenstein, not flaming you, just run your guild the way you want it to be, no matter what way your choose, good luck, community is terrible ;P |

enlighten me, what other non-raiding guild offers guild repairs to all members and free glyphs (or gems or enchants or whatever) ? i wanna see some other GM to take 50k/week hit to his own pocket just so some lowbie randoms can love him ;) not like i cant afford it but still |
