RP guild

Right, i figured this is the best place to put it, anywho, i am planning on making a forsaken RP guild here, after the lack of RP on this server i think there should be a change, and i would urge all players who are seeking rp to come help me create this, perhaps this is the thing needed to revive the server for rp, and not some thinly spread unplanned project, anywho, if you don't care for rp and the such, then, fairdoes. The guild is intended to be Called the Lordaeron Assembly
Guild Idea : The guild is going to be a RP(-PvP if an alliance rp guild appears) Based Upon the Politics and Millitry sides of the forsaken, possibly even the Religious side if someone would like to take that up. The guild would have a house system, so you would enlist, and then join a house, each house having a different function with in the guild. The Guild would be run be the House leaders in the form of a council which would meet weekly. Each house is free to hold it's own events and such. There would also be a Millitry Training every week and a random rp event somewhere in forsaken lands. Any positive feedback and constructive criticism is welcomed, and don't go " lolz, rpz is dead" because it's not, i know for a fact there are still people that rp, just not very publicly. 5 days and no replies? Seriously? Looks like people here are only good at complaining about how SSL is dead and there's no hope for it...
As for constructive criticism, you'll probably find out soon enough that this whole "house" idea just doesn't work. Cause for it to work out right you'll need at least a few dozen people, which is just not possible to start with. This is when most people drop any initiative they've originally had. If that's not the case, then I'd suggest you start by recruiting a solid core of at least 3-4 committed officers. That way you can at least entertain each other while looking for more people to join. If you're patient enough, sooner or later you'll be able to get more people. I'd say the realistic number for an active RP guild would be somewhere around 15-20 people (at least that's the most i've seen in the better days of SSL RP community). Might not seem like a lot, but that's more than enough for a friendly community you enjoy spending time with. Overall, hope for the best, prepare for the worst, be patient and don't give up. Sadly, I can't offer any direct support at the moment, but I'm still somewhere out there whenever you're up for a casual RP chat. And I'm not the only one. There's plenty of people willing to RP left on SSL, you just have to unite them. That won't be easy, but I believe it's still quite possible. |
