I just wanted to ask this quickly since I been curious.

A while back and I do mean a while, I think I read something about archaeology fragments only stacking to a certain amount is this true? If so what is the cap?

I wanted to level arch while leveling and just get a nice crafting bonus when I'm tired of leveling :D

cap is 200 fragments if near cap you cannot obtain any more fragments over cap.
The point of this idea is to prevent people collect over for example 1000 troll fragments and then when they have enought skill try to complete zirkon. Too bad nobody cares about archaeology now while leveling...

Is that 200 per kind of fragment? IE 200 troll, 200 elf? Or is it a combined total of 200?

since Patch 4.0.6 it has been 200 fragments on each race.

Thanks, I missed that part, I been looking around for quite some time without any info being found, but now I know.

You don't have to worry when farming that you would loose fragments at any time.
You don't have to check if you reached the limit constantly.

Let's say you have 197 of Night Elves fragments and you find a 5 piece then you won't be able to loot, but your fragment doesn't disappear either when you close your loot window to make your archeology pieces to make room for the new peices.
