As the title states, plus, when I click Cancel when it gets stuck, it then gets stuck on 'Retrieving realm list' and doesn't bring those up either.. This is trying to connect to the Argent Dawn server, of which I know isn't down, because my wife is currently playing on it.
No, it's not my end. I've been on WoW ALL DAY, but the minute I go afk for a little longer then usual, the AFK auto-disconnect kicks me out of game and now I can't log back in. =/ Help please.. |

Can you please try turning off your router for about 30 minutes, and then before turning it back on, flush your DNS resolver cache as follows?:
If you are on Windows Vista or 7 - Click Start, then Programs, then Accessories and then locate 'Command Prompt' - Right-click on 'Command Prompt' and left-click on 'Run as Administrator' - In the black console command window that appears, type: ipconfig /flushdns - After typing the above command, press Enter, then close this window If you are on Mac OS X 10.5.x+ - Navigate to Applications/Utilities and open Terminal - type: dscacheutil -flushcache - After typing this command, press the Return key (Enter) |

It does help, because it has something to do with the DNS resolver cache on YOUR computer. Turning off the router for that long will just (mostly) reset your IP address from your ISP. Then you do the flush.

Been having the same problem but this didn't work so I looked at other forum posts of about a year ago when people had the same problem and after trying some things there I don't even get success anymore. As I try to log in it simply says disconnected from server every time I try to log in.
Edit: Now a couple of minutes later the same thing happened. I checked while having process explorer open and it seems that when i try to load a realm the retail stops responding. Not having problems with any other online functions though. |

Glad to hear it worked there.
Thpina, can you run the Repair program found in the main World of Warcraft folder, then try the game again? |

Repair didn't work but after a few hours it started working by itself again, no idea how. But as of today I now have the same problem. Lurdlespor plz help DX Edit: It would be so much easier if we could whisper the administraters on the forums or that they get a message when someone replied or added a message to a thread they have a comment/hint/answer on... |
